Harry Kane is a myth. He plays like he's 40, this getting goals against rubbish teams is going to be so bad for English football moving forwards. The last 2 major tournaments, maybe 3,he has been beyond atrocious at the latter stages, golden boot or not, to the point that I think it's detrimental for him to be on the pitch at all. But hey 10 goals against San marino and Albania and its all good, he's the king with no clothes.

Are we forgetting about all those premier league goals and golden boots. Last season he was top for both assists and goals… but yeah let’s not play him

Who else are we gonna play up front? As Leicester fans we should no how good Harry kane is as he scores every time he plays against us.

Albania were very much in the run in for a play off spot… wouldn’t quite call that pointless. However San Marino is just ridiculous and unnecessary

Thy are ranked 63 on the world they have played 114 WC qualifiers and have only won 24 games, they have played 103 Euro qualifiers and won 22.

 

There head to head with England is played 5, lost 5, A14, F1.

 

Pretty pointless

I hate to Think an English then especially  a Leicester fan begrudges, the  chances of their chosen undesirables of Lighting up this world and just taking part..

Ronaldo is exceptional & I celebrate his unique Scoring skill, Kane far Off Ronaldos eye for goal,

but I celebrate he his an English Player who translates what he is renowned for...Top man in his era...

So Albania shouldn’t be in qualifying… I agree with Andorra and San Marino having to pre-qualify but Albania were second for a long time in the group, and finished above Hungary

I just think football could take some lesson from how cricket deals with minor nations in WC qualifiers.

 

It need to be reorganised so there are more meaningful games and less meanless games.

Agree with those saying that there should be a preliminary round. No, football shouldn't exist to appease the top nations but this is pointless nonsense. 

Asia, North America and Africa all have preliminary rounds to stop ridiculous mismatches like these. 

 

That said, it's mental to suggest Albania shouldn't be in here with England. Those feelings have been enhanced by us having Andorra AND San Marino in the same group, but the prelims should purely be for the bottom 10 or so nations.

The overall higher quality of UEFA opposition makes it even more brutal for small nations like Andorra or San Marino than in other FIFA continental confederations. 

 

I've always thought there must be a better way to structure the qualifying to avoid these absurd games, but it's tricky. 

 

Pre-qualifying makes the most sense, but even then the likes of San Marino wouldn't have a chance and you'd be denying them the chance to play against Europe's best players. They will know they haven't got a chance, so I'd imagine most of them do it for the experience. Scoring a goal must feel like a win to them.
