Good thread.

My first and only Leicester match at Wembley was the Community Shield v Man United.

Obviously not the FA Cup or a play off but I did enjoy the experience (but not the result).

My first was the Spurs League Cup final.

Redemption found the year after against Tranmere!

Then a long wait til the Community Shield game. I don't remember much of it...

I’ve just watched the build up to our semi final and had very little excitement at the fact our team are going to Wembley on Sunday so I started to reminisce about my personal Wembley visits so what are you favourite off the pitch moments from visiting the hallowed stadium. For me it was my first visit in the 1994 play off final v Derby everything about the day was magical I was only 6 years of age so the rowdy bus journey, stopping at toddington and watching all the cars pass by with blue and white scarves hanging out the window a person off the bus falling asleep underneath it in the car park drunk and missing the game and the roar of the fans as the teams came out of the tunnel with a sea of confetti and balloons. The singing of god save the Queen being belted out in unison (sort of) by over 80000 people oh those were the days lol

I think if we were going with them we would all be excited.

One of the best Wembley feelings for me, all but short lived was the come back from 3-0 down against Swindon to 3-3, what a magical 12 minutes.

Crap ending thou.

Never did I think as a City fan I'd go Wembley 8 times. 4 play offs, 3 league cup final and a CS.

Man I miss the old Wembley. I did like the new one when I went (also went to an Ireland match in the RWC in 2015 - I got bored of waiting for us to get there). There was just something about it. Iconic.

A trip to Wembley felt like an annual pilgrimage in the 90's/early 00's. The agony of Blackburn, Swindon and Spurs and the ecstasy of Derby, Palace and Tranmere - we were truly spoiled.

The old Wembley was a total shithole but I fvckin loved everything about

Great times.

Amazing days out. Its probably my favourite place in the world, because I genuinely had the best days of my youth there.

Even when we lost, the memories from the whole day are still pretty magical.

When we played Swindon, I think, we monopolised the Greyhound and they were all on the other side of the street. A stray football got kicked over from their side and landed at my feet, I drop kicked it back and managed to hit a copper on the head and knocked his helmet off lol

My older brother quickly shepherded me away!

Was always quite underwhelmed inside the old stadium though, a lot smaller than it looked on TV.

But I wouldn't swap any of it.

He kind of made it up to us!

The way I look at it, had we won that game, would we be where we are now?

I managed every Wembley appearance after '69. A bit of a sad but funny (in a way) moment involved my Dad at the Tranmere final. David Kelly had just scored the equaliser and he decides to go for a pee to beat the rush before extra time. There was one other in the gents with the same idea as they heard the roar from the crowd. Elliott had scored the winner and he'd missed it.

We laughed about it afterwards, well I did. Cruel.

And the Blackburn fans on the coaches afterwards waving wads of cash at us.

Remember half of Wembley singing “he fell over”.

First time at Wembley, was a great day out apart from the result, but the atmosphere in the stadium was everything I dreamt it to be. Even though we lost the mood was brilliant.

Did anyone find the community shield game lacklustre? Normally when you go to Wembley you’re nervous and excited. That time around I wasn’t really into it. Our end was terrible, too many day trippers. The play off games, our ends where really good. I’m know the play offs have much more riding on them then the community shield but I reckon it would be the same if we got to the fa cup final and fans where allowed in. The new Wembley is pants it’s too American for me. People buying popcorn and candy floss !!!! The old Wembley was a shit hole but a magical  iconic shit hole. Remember years ago watching Portsmouth vs spurs semi final at new Wembley  and the Portsmouth fans where the loudest I’ve ever heard through a tv. That’s the end I dream of for a fa cup final.

Doesn't help when you have sun stroke. The free t shirts came in handy as make shift sun screens. £2.50 for a plastic cup of water. Don't miss the dump.

It weren’t the best was it can’t really complain though considering what we’d been apart of in the months previous

....I also went to the Charity Shield against United!!!

Sat way up in the gods and felt like if I stood up I would fall 100ft into the crowd below, if anyone has suicidal tendencies it is not recommended. The Lingard goal was a good bit of play and poor defending, with Kasper being unlucky the ball looped into the goal off his outstretched boot. A great insight into Demarai Gray was he felt he had to emulate the Lingard goal and better defending prevented it from coming off.

Very much Gray is  a "look at me" type of player, that values that part of his game, way above the need to link up with the players around him. Even though we lost, it was still a good day, nearly missed the train getting back.

I was at Derby 94 and Palace 96 and couldn't get to any of the games since then.

If anyone wants to get me a ticket for the final  I can confirm that I only ever see victories for Leicester City at Wembley.

Correlation does not equal causation.

But it does for this.

I remember being in Florida, summer 93, a few weeks after losing to Swindon.

My dad phoned my brother at home, the first thing discussed was that we'd just signed David Speedie.

Ruined my holiday. Begged my dad to take my season ticket back.

Fast forward 12 months, I was gutted that Speedie couldn't play in the Play-Off final against Derby.

He had a massive part in getting us there though.
