Would you want to play for a bloke that has thrown you under a bus to distract from a poor result? Additionally the fans will get over it but Fofana is going to get some proper grief now for a few games at least if Rodgers wants to reintergrate him. Also signals to any potential buyers that we might be getting fed up with his antics.
Popular Post chris_lcfc_85 Posted 24 August 2022 Popular Post Share Posted 24 August 2022 Our own fans singing getting sacked in the morning is really disappointing. I get the booing and disappointment but singing that is embarrassing sorry guys. Things aren't good right now and yes we likely need a change but to treat a manager like this when he's achieved what he has with us, is poor

If the fans feel like they need to voice their opinion in such a manner to help bring change then I can't really argue with it.

Guest itude Posted 24 August 2022 Share Posted 24 August 2022 We pays our money and we have a right to boo and sing that. We don't attack anyone physically, invade the pitch or throw stuff at him. It's still a free country isn't it ? I can think of a whole lot of much worse things we could do. If he had at least been honest about his own mistakes and failings, and shown some real passion for the club, things might be different. I think the singing is highly appropriate. In fairness i take my hat off to each and every individual that attended the game last night, fantastic. Yes, they're entitled to their opinion absolutely, i just find it disappointing given we're only 3 games in and his hands have been tied

I'll always appreciate what Rodgers has achieved with us, but the writing has been on the wall for months now, time to go.

I hate the term 'be careful what you wish for', especially given how bad we are right now. I'd be inclined to say 'be careful what you settle for'.

Who knows, what we do know pal, is it possibly can’t get much worse then it is now we have a good starting 11 that has completely had the sole sucked out of them, by negative Nancy Brendan Rodgers!! BR's biggest flaw is that he is absolutely wedded to his style and will not change course. He believes he is right no matter what. Football has moved on. BR hasn't and its showing.

Things aren't good right now and yes we likely need a change but to treat a manager like this when he's achieved what he has with us, is poor I would usually agree with this and I do think our fans could show a bit more class at times, but I really think we have every right to be angry here. We've watched some absolute car crash football over the last couple of years, the way we've capitulated under Rodgers has had to be seen to be believed at times (I still can't fathom how that Spurs home game happened) It really feels like we're watching our club slowly decline for completely pointless reasons and we have no control over it. It's so frustrating to watch us make the same mistakes and hear the same excuses from Brendan every single week. Then immediately after, tune in for Match of the day to see every other ****ing team in this league playing with more intensity and effort than us. When you add all that to the day to day cost of living problems people are facing at the moment - A football ground used to be an escape from all that, now more than ever it feels like our club is just another place desperate to squeeze every penny out of us (Just paid £47.50 for a Forest ticket btw, maybe i'll have a £5.80 pint with that) Then you can add this Fofana nonsense into the mix, a guy earning that kind of money to just say they don't fancy playing is pretty hard to take for your average football fan and definitely pushes them further away from us. You can be grateful for what we have achieved but at the same time realise these are extremely well paid people, who really don't have much loyalty to us or the club, they are always thinking about their next move. Chrysalis Posted 24 August 2022 Share Posted 24 August 2022 Even lcfc tv's own commentators were saying we were recycling moves instead of going for risky forward passes.

Max Power Posted 24 August 2022 Share Posted 24 August 2022 Lack of signings is a complete red herring. The squad is good. Rodgers underachieved with it on all fronts last season and is doing worse in the early stages of this.
