Chucked his toys out of the cot because no new signings which he can now hide behind to mask the fact that we’ve been on a downward Brend for quite some time now

Just altered it Slightly

Mate that was there said Stockport fans started it then a section of city fans joined in.

It was Stockport that started. They had already sang it earlier in the game too.

Some sections of our fans stupidly joined in.

Won't get behind the team but will happily sing about the manager getting sacked. Weird.

...probably they are as fed up of this, like most people are!!!

As soon as you saw the personnel and the formation, you would have wondered why you had bothered to turn up.

Players playing out of position,  can't in anyway, be enthused by this negative

approach to our game.

It would have been more productive had we used academy players (Maswanhise) and attempted to gather some enthusiasm,  rather than shunt Nacho out wide on the right.

Athletic have done a long read on us - a good summary of where we're at. It does appear the club expected more departures, hence Top's reference to 'trading' but that hasn't happened, so that's why we're in this position. We want to make sure we're a sustainable club, and be in a position to qualify for Europe, not falling foul of FFP.

Re. Rodgers, he has no plans to resign and still has support of the club hierarchy.

No major surprises except Tielemans wants out more having been dropped from the 1st team and Soyuncu wants to go too, which may explain why he hasn't featured more. Soumare had a chance to join another club but rejected it - seems like he just wants Monaco.

The outstanding issue here is Brendan’s attitude has gone.

Its quite clear that once he doesn’t get what he wants he gives up.

But what the outsiders have got to understand is that Rodgers has got the squad into the worst state it has been in for some time.

He’s had a direct input on 4 of the worst players to pull on a Leicester shirt.

It is clear that he is a manager that can’t function without huge financial backing, he is basically a better version of Harry Redknapp. And once things start to get tough he just can’t deliver…. The squad is largely the same as last season, so why on Earth has there been a sudden drop off? It’s simply because he can’t be arsed anymore.

Perhaps we allow him to stay until September and see if we improve once the window has finally shut, however, I have zero faith that he will turn it around. Our next two games are 100% nailed on defeats, and we will then eventually start to get cut adrift. We’ve watched football long enough to know where this is going, the fight has gone out of the squad and the manager, and once you lose that fight you’re done for.

I would say I respect him for what he’s done, but he has let himself down immensely, and in reality has he actually underachieved with this squad? Considering the amount of points we have lost when fighting for Europe? It would be interesting to see how many points we collectively surrendered in those two seasons towards the end.

In your time maybe

Criticising and booing is fine but these people are more interested in this than backing the team, which is odd. Also, what happened to "good times and the bad, we always back the lads"?

....strangely enough, "backing the lads..." by joining in the "song" could, in the end, produce the situation where the support that they require comes from a managerial change, as opposed to the stoic acceptance of the ardent followers.

No amount if hand wringing is going to change what is going on, sometimes you have to take action in order to make things happen.

It's interesting he persists with this considering this is the reputation he will carry with him. Like Mourinho's 3rd seasons always end up ending sourly wherever he goes.

I'm not sure what purpose it serves with Rodgers persisting like he is. Avoiding the need to change his ways and instead just being stubborn.

If he thinks it'll help him get jobs elsewhere or at bigger clubs I can't see it happening.

Exactly.  He takes people for a ride.  The feeling is that all the good work he does in year one takes a massive amount if energy and commitment, which he cannot sustain.

Add poor signings to this and the wheels come off.  Rodgers *is* an excellent manager, but only in very short bursts.

A 20 year legacy manager he is not.

Seems a bit weird that we are choosing to hold onto players and subsequently further hinder progress based on valuations - if the only reason for no signings is the wages. Surely you’d cut losses on a mistake(s) rather than further compound the error by sticking by principles. There is a real case of mismanagement if that is the case. I’m now starting to get the feeling there is more to it.

Any other players apart from Tielemans and Fofana listed as wanting out ?

We're so dysfunctional.

The idea that we're worried about (the harsher) FFP for European competition is laughable, we're not qualifying for Europe for long time.

According to Tanner:

Tielemans 'certainly does, especially after losing his starting place'

Soumare 'wanted the move to Monaco'

Soyuncu 'feels he needs to reignite his career elsewhere'

Maddison 'may even have been interested' in Newcastle move
