Probably not given the family moved back to the North West 12 months ago from Leicestershire as they felt they were too far from her extended family

A man who feels so under pressure about his position will not encourage his wife and kids to be at games. That pressure comes from both supporters and the board. Once he feels the heat from the board I doubt we see her sitting three rows behind rudkin.
Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 30 August 2022 Posted 30 August 2022 Selling Fofana will fund his sacking providing we spend less than half of it in the next 2 and a half days.

Any club, in fact any business that is run correctly, would have a seperate fund for contracts. They would have an account with the funds available to pay out any contracts that need paying out. Football clubs are not always run well, hence you get the point where players wages haven’t been paid etc. I do feel though with our owners who are business people first, they would have these funds secured.
Popular Post Ricey Posted 30 August 2022 Popular Post Posted 30 August 2022 (edited) Just went back and watched a bit of the talk we did with him at work in October, just to double check that my memory of what he said about recruitment was correct. "Jon Rudkin, Lee Congerton and myself will look at targets." "I have the first say on the player, the last say and a little bit in between. The club will never bring in a player that I wouldn't want here." So for those people claiming that recruitment isn't his fault and that we can't apportion any blame towards him, there you are. Of course it's not all his fault, there are plenty of people involved in the process, but he has a pretty strong influence judging by those comments. Edited 30 August 2022 by Ricey 3 3

Why doesn’t anyone bother to phone in and correct them live on air? If it’s because you’ll be talking to the likes of Sutton and Savage then I totally understand. It’d be a total waste of time having them pair talk over you. They’ve made that radio station as bad as Talksport. Alan Green on 606 used to be superb.

I wonder if anything has changed given Congerton has gone/going and a new head of recruitment is going to be hired? As in, would the new guy (Glover, when he actually does arrive) be comfortable with it or is there more balance in power with him arriving?

Popular Post gerblod Posted 30 August 2022 Popular Post Posted 30 August 2022 I've had two spells on FT - the first ended when I was barred for f**k-all and I waited three weeks to be reinstated - until I got sick of waiting and requested that I be expunged from the site and all my content be deleted. I spent about eighteen months off and rejoined about two years ago. I wish I'd kept a tab on the dates, so's I could link Rodgers arrival and career here with my second coming. I left because of the erratic and inexplicable logic of the moderators - this time I find that the toxic atmosphere around LCFC is the potential cause of my second exit. There's a long-term malaise in Premier League footer. It's not just English football but the Prem is the prime example of a cartel dominating the game and dictating, by dubious money, how opportunity is denied to the rest to field teams that can compete on a level pitch. I thought Vichai had broken that particular 'glass ceiling' by assiduous business acumen. Now he's gone, it appears his work is being dissipated by the lack of a firm hand and good judgement. What really irks and depresses is the clear appraisal, on here, by the majority of clear thinkers of Rodgers inability to use the players effectively while KP rebalances itself after Covid. We're clamouring for him to go, yet there appears to be an impasse between him and the executive. He has players who, given the right direction, could sustain a reasonable position in the league until things settled. But he seems determined to keep on making errors of judgement in all areas he has responsibility for. Other clubs have the whip hand at sacking underperforming managers but City are being weighed down by this intransigent figure. And it's weighing down the Forum with negativity. I only hope Fofana's desertion money brings a wave of hope that City can get some mood-changers in - players who can exhibit the qualities so lacking in our recent transfers in. Vichai turned this club into something to be envied. I only hope someone or something can drag it out of its current torpor. Until then it seems that we FoxesTalkers have nothing to give us a renewed buzz about our club. 7

True but it accelerates the rate at which we write it off against our P&L - which would affect our profit or loss for this year.
