Let's hope it's him. He gave spurs a shed load of stability even if the playing style didn't go down well with the fans.

that’s wide of the mark, the fans loved every minute of poch until his last season and even then they all couldn’t understand what was going wrong.

He got some real excitement going and my mate who’s a season ticket holder views him in a similar way to how we view nige

Poch comes in; a big name to convince US billionaires to invest heavily. We consolidate this season and splurge next summer. Top 4 next season, champions the year after followed by the Champions League.

I've heard he's been holding on for a job at a broke-ass club in the East Midlands.

How dare you give me a reality check with your dose of sarcasm!

A decent bloke Poch , pretty well everybody likes him. Unlike Rodgers he had a proper playing career , so he understands the pressures of top level matches for players. Thing is though pay and length of contract and we have to learn lessons from our current fiasco.

We are hardly broke just because Brendan wasn’t backed in the summer doesn’t mean there wasn’t any funds available for transfers imo.

If we'd had enough funds we should've fecked Wodgers the Wobber off.

Would love to have Poch here. Doubt he would come but if the Sevilla link is legit and that's the level he's considering that's good news for us.

To think though that we actually had fans say they had no  interest in European football just so we could get back to watching Leicester on a Saturday again..

Hmmm... not sure I could eat enough humble pie to accept Pochettino as our next manager. My dislike of Spurs knows no bounds.

I'd get over it to see Rodgers gone though!

To relieve the gloom I'm rereading Muzzy's autobiography.  He loved playing under the O'Neil/ Walford / Robertson management team.

Picking out 3 reasons from the book - 1) All 3  were brilliant in going out of their way to up the confidence of the players, with little words in their ear, arms round shoulders, positive thoughts, etc.  2) O'Neill knew the exact role he wanted from each of his players and it fitted that player's abilities to a T, round pegs for round holes etc, and he integrated those perfectly into the team organisation such that the whole was better than the sum of the parts.  3) O'Neill was a super- intelligent guy who was wise enough to understand that employing simple and obvious remedies to problems during matchplay was usually the best solution; no unnecessary overcomplication.

Looking at those 3 approaches to run a football team makes me think "what a difference from our current management team", and it illutrates just a part of what is wrong, and how it could be different.

To those who haven't seen it, Muzzy's book is an excellent read. :scarf:

John Robertson never gets the credit he deserves for his role with us, probably the most influential assistant along with with Shakespeare.

O’Neil was never the same without Robertson. It was truly a double act. Great coach
