We could win each of the next 5 games and the start to the season still would have been crap. Part of the reason he needs to go is that the culture at the club is too soft, we give endless opportunities to “get it right” and the consequence is that you embed mediocrity rather than pursuing excellence. When they finally get round to booting Rodgers out the club needs a proper review into how it operates. We cannot allow another ego driven man to run the place again. 5 1

Continually states he was the one to give Beckham his chance. Yes, Taylor had an egotistical element to him as well - in the way Rodgers very much has too really and I can see why people are making comparisons between the two here, even if in different times and circumstances.....and two decades or so apart! Ginger_Filbert Posted 18 September 2022 Posted 18 September 2022 Rodgers out. Amorim in. It was a nice dream but a pain having to get up and wash my sticky bed sheets.
EastAnglianFox Posted 18 September 2022 Posted 18 September 2022 Not much happening really so can I ask if anybody else has been in a supermarket today? Absolute madness, all over one short noticed bank holiday. Queues in Tesco were worse than what I remember from the toilet roll shortage of the Covid era. If Rodgers isn't leaving, maybe share your experiences if out shopping today 1
CrispinLA in Texas Posted 18 September 2022 Posted 18 September 2022 More chance of West Ham sacking Moyes on Tuesday than Brendan going......only positive is touchwood West Ham go for Brendan 1

Just get the **** out! 1 1

It's a horrible place to be but that's where I am. Get him gone. Same.

I’d enjoy seeing Aston Villa sail high and sink low with him. The real fantasy is seeing Forest’s chairman tempt him with seemingly infinite bags of cash and a glib and free transfer policy but I’d worry their chairman would be trigger happy with the big red sacking button when things fall apart. 1
sammy82 Posted 18 September 2022 Posted 18 September 2022 I cannot emphasise enough what an absolute disgrace that this situation has been allowed to happen, if the same issues happen every week for 2 years and nothings done isn’t enough we now start breaking all the records for worst starts to a season in prem history! We really are terrible defensively 1

He desperately needs 6 months out of the game. 1

It can be a double edged sword you know, I am not advocating we keep Rodgers. Like most people here, I’d be glad to see him gone. But wishing we had different owners…that for me is another question. We remember previous owners, Mandaric for example. I feel losing Top and Sue Whelan would be a catastrophe for the club and the city.

Of course there’s plenty of time in the season but given we are getting worse by the game it’s hardly surprising that people can’t see where 39 more points are coming from? I’m assuming you can? Or you have a list of teams who have survived from similar positions to this? Where do you think the next point is coming from them genius? If that is your mindset then I can only assume you're expecting Rodgers to be here for the season? Or for some bizarre reason you are another one of these people who seem to have interpreted what I said as "Rodgers in"? Whether it's tomorrow or next month he goes, if this form carries on he will go... then I fancy my chances that the squad that has been good enough to fight for upper-top half finishes for the last three seasons might just be able to keep us up, yeah.
