It’s not United, they will want to finish Liverpool off..... so they put out a weak squad out against us and try and go for a point, but we beat them than means Liverpool are a further three points from the top four.... United beat Liverpool their top chances are more or less gone.

 

United will take more pleasure out of stopping Liverpool getting into the CL that finishing in the CL places themselves.

Probably looking too much into it, but I think Ole knows how much veteran United fans despise Liverpool, and would get some sort of kudos from them if he helped us finish in the top 4 over them...

 

Just hope we put in a much better performance than last time out. This is going to be a proper nailbiting end to the season

But for some of us the pain and misery of defeat is worse than the enjoyment of victory.

 

I'm not usually like this - but that's how I feel at the moment. Clearly the issue is amplified by not being at the ground, in which case I can let loose during the game (and influence the outcome, of course)!

 

Can't even have a moan after the match - usually the match is analysed and dissected to death over a beer or two...allowing closure and enabling us to move on with our lives. At the moment, all I get is a sideways glance from the wife and the kids asking why I'm miserable!  

 

 

 

Roll on next season when I can watch us being awful in person

You’re kidding yourselves if you think Ole or ManU care enough about us or Liverpool to try and help us.  They’ll rest players against both sides, because their league place is basically locked in, but that’s it.  They’re not going to tank against us and then play a full-strength side against Liverpool.

Do you live in a box? Ole has pretty much already said they will. He puts a weak team out to face Liverpool and he may as well resign. He’s United through and through, it will mean as much to him to beat them as it will the fans.

We played 5 at home against Newcastle. What on earth makes people think we’ll go 4 at the back against Man Utd?

Come on Mate cheer up, my mate at work is a Newcastle fan and on Monday morning I was expecting a world of shite, but he took it easy on me and merely said WTF happened, I calmly told him I was glad Newcastle won as it guaranteed them safety in the Prem and can look forward to the banter next season, anger, frustration etc all gone, we are gonna beat United and win the FA cup, if we dont so what look at next season we will eventually get something, as we are on a great journey at this is all the build up, keep the faith.

Agree. 
 

Beat Leicester with a decent strength side but lose to Liverpool with a weak side. Man Utd fans would be up in arms. Plenty of them would be thinking “would rather lose to Leicester than Liverpool”.
