Doesn't anyone think that we may be better playing Manure's usual team, who are probably all knackered, than a team of players & academy kids with a point to prove bursting with enthusiasm & vitality, things that we don't seem to have.

98th minute penalty wins it for Leicester. Bruno Fernandes comes off the bench, dives in his own area and takes it for us to ensure Liverpool are shafted.

Imagine Man City had Fernandes taking penalties for them instead of all the talented but shit penalty takers they have in their squad.

They'd be unstoppable.

I think someone said it earlier in the thread but if we play well we are capable of winning against either, if we play badly we are capable of losing against either.

Just hoping we turn up and to the business

If we beat a weakened Man Utd tonight I will spend a couple of hours of the rest of my evening on the Liverpool, West Ham and Everton forums reading them whinge. I'll do it all with a beer and some popcorn (salty popcorn of course). :D

Very spiteful, but like the plan, might do the same if everything goes our way of course....

There'll be plenty of moaning if this happens, especially from Liverpool's many friends in the media. But don't forget we had to play Palace 2 days after Boxing Day when other teams had longer breaks at the time. This meant we had to make loads of changes, which contributed to our drawing a game we'd have expected to win. Plus, don't forget that Man City made 9 changes against Chelsea which definitely contributed significantly to Chelsea winning the game. So if we do beat a weakened Man U side I will be v cross if the media somehow portray it as unfair or claim that we've got UCL by default.

It's on BT so could be McManaman on commentary ...! I'll be tempted to unmuted him to listen to the outage if Leicester win..

Presume he'll play something like this?

Amartey or Fuchs definitely won't be the main CB if they do play.

Fuchs will go LCB if he plays or Amartey will go RCB if he plays.

I'm so nervous about this game I don't know whether I can watch this.

But also so nervous I don't know whether I can't watch this.

It feels like there is so much riding on this.

Tell me I'm not alone in this?

Is there anything anywhere about Man Utd protests for this game?

think they're targeting the Liverpool game again. Man Utd have been putting up some crappy barriers to try and keep fans away from the ground

This is where I'm at. I've actually  superb track record of not watching the game but keeping my phone in the match day thread and when we need a goal refreshing the page and then slowly working my way through the countless pages to see we've scored. So I'll do that for us tonight.

Blimey I wonder how the protesters will climb that waist high barricade.

I’m actually banned from watching on pain of, well, pain. I have an absolute track record of cursing it more or less every time. And this after I have fought valiantly through viagra adverts, porn links, over 50’s insurance plans and indeed funeral plans to find a FUCHING stream.

I could see him playing Ndidi at centre back and Mendy in the middle of the park. Or play Castagne as a 3rd CB and have both Ricardo and Albrighton start, or bring back Thomas.

If Man U play Greenwood and / or Cavani up front I don't think Amartey is the right call against them, unless he shifts out to RCB. Amartey is not bad against physical threats, but the fast / tricky strikers give any player a problem. Cavani's movement is so good, it's Vardy-esque and needs to be watched at all times by someone with good concentration.

There's an insider setting these up. First set you can hurdle, and then there's some conveniently placed pallets to help get a leg over the next set.

Or of course, just push them over. How do they think that'll stop people who are serious about getting in again.

I was like that for the Newcastle game. Nerves were quickly replace with extreme anger however.

Just been thinking about the next couple of weeks. Win the FA Cup and get top 4 - ecstatic. Lose the final and miss out on top 4 again at the last moment - utter despair.

I tell my wife I enjoy football too...
