Tell me you don’t like it now.
All the history AMF boys can give it all they like but if it wasn’t for VAR we might not have ever won the FA Cup.
VAR was used in the correct and proper manner today.

I've always been a fan:ph34r:. But I did think he looked offside in real time. Lino would have given it if there was no VAR.

It’s ok if it’s used how it was today. Quick, efficient and the right decision made. It’s when they start trying to purposely look to disallow goals. Still want it binned off.

The handball would have been really harsh and I believe the rule has changed anyway so a ball hitting the body then hand isn’t a “foul”

People generally would have been outraged a goal like that was disallowed ..

Classic example of where hearing the communication between officials might have helped ?

As for the offside - think it was just the right call.

It was more than just a toe or finger nail.

Not that you really care ofcourse !

Especially after Chilwell giving it big licks celebrating.

He got booed every time he came near the ball. What did we expect in return?

PS VAR still shit; if it didn’t exist, the lino would 100% have flagged.

PPS: Who cares? We only bloody won the FA Cup!!:youri:

Have you watched the premier league for the last 20 odd years?

No it wouldn’t have.
I’m no conspiracy theorist but there’s no getting away from the big boy bias.

Why our fans have to tarnish a joyous day by hating on Chilwell is a sad mystery, but they mostly hated on him every day he was here so it's not a surprise.  He had a hand in two nearly-goals in about 10 minutes - he was excellent today and unlucky not to have the equalizer.

As to VAR, this is why it exists.  It had no role in our goal - that was Oliver's call to make (and he made the correct one).  And it got the Chelsea goal correct - he was offside.  By a matter of centimeters, but offside.  For all its faults I'll still take VAR as a backstop for missed decisions in real-time over not having it at all, and I've always felt that way even when it hasn't benefited us.

Totally agree with the first paragraph, still hate VAR
