So disappointed not to have been able to watch this

Absolutely. Club should be all over this showing off our flashy new training ground, and some of our brightest up and coming stars. Some real prospects in our academy as well.

Now we've got fairly young players getting to a good level, there's the question if you should loan them or keep them in the club for better development supervision.

Funny how they’ve managed to post clips of the goals with commentary as if taken from the stream yet can’t actually stream  the match

I did think this myself

Thought the very same.

There's different systems involved in recording and streaming a match.

I have no idea why they don't just stream it on youtube. But generally there's middle management who've signed some contract with some corporation which demands the engineers use some crappy software and that's if there's not some internal political stuff going on or simply lack of funding.

Bournemouth away in the FA Youth Cup

Shame you can't watch these games. Suspect this is a golden generation for Leicester's academy. So many high potential regens, especially Alves & Braybrooke. In particular Alves who imo could become world class.

*remind me of this in 5 years*

Who do we reckon is the next to properly come through? Marcal-madivadua looks like he could have an opportunity next season with the likes of praet, youri, Mendy and hamza maybe leaving. Although seems he is more an attacking midfielder in the u23 games in comparison to his appearance for us in the cup where he seems more central.

You could stake a claim for several of them. It's usually defenders that get a chance earliest but Ben Nelson seems to be a way off what's required for Brendan so I do wonder about him. Wanya Marca, Braybrooke and Alves are all set up for huge futures and Kasey McAteer may well be the same. Him and Brunt need loans this season IMO to build on their recent momentum.

I'm fascinated by Chris Popov who I'm yet to get to see much of, but him and Kian Pennant are evidently unreal at U18 level.

I think they’ll all make it tbh I’m so shocked how talented they all are. But I just mean I wonder who’s the next to take their chance with a potential opening in the squad similar to how day Luke Thomas has come about?

McAteer and Brunt really should be going out on loan in either league one or the championship, similar to how we’ve gone about KDH and at the moment Callum Wright (who’ll probably go out to the championship next season).

with Nelson, Alves, braybrooke, popov and pennant we must have a real chance of winning this fa youth cup, surely we’ve never had a stronger group?

I suppose it depends on injuries. That’s when youngsters get there chance. Just like Luke Thomas did when we had no one else available for the final three games so we had to play him and he took his chance. He didn’t need a loan either.

There's defenders and defenders - CB is a different kettle of fish to LB/RB. I can't think of any other 17 (or even 18) year old playing CB in the Prem or the Championship. Would be interesting to know how far down the league you need to go to find one. (I might have to see if I can find that out). And from what I hear re. Nelson I think it's more a case of the lack of experience for him to play alongside. I think Brendan's been pretty wise not to risk him next to Vesty. If Cags or Evans had been the sole fit senior CB things might have been different. Brendan's mindful of the right time to introduce young players and has alluded to this in a couple of interviews recently (possibly a direct reference to Nelson as I imagine he's champing at the bit to get on especially seeing other youngsters getting their chances).

Theres more chance of us having no more injuries than the club sorting  a stream out .

I'm pinning my hopes on West Ham being way better than our club in that regard, it's at their gaff so it's their responsibility to stream.

Not holding out too much hope then . Their training ground looks like a derelict garden centre

Isn't it at 4pm today? Or maybe that's what you meant (just making clear for those who didn't see the weird kick off time!).
