Few local aways and a 'test' home game at the end - usually against not a top club, but someone decent. Maybe even get Lille here.

Tour of Thailand and play their national team like we did under Sven (that was odd wasn’t it…). No gang bangs this time though.

On Football Manager I always used to organise a tournament with some good sides (at the KP of course), with friendlies either side against teams like the London Met. Perhaps if we did that we could get Perez arrested on trumped up charges.

Haha, sad ennit. I was exactly the same, reckon one of my favourite parts of playing the game was deciding who I was going to play friendlies against each summer.

I can't remember who is was, but I know someone spotted we are down to play vs Alvechurch on 30th July. I imagine it's going to be purely the U23s, but still, it could be a good night out!

Yep part of Wakeling deal. It is not much of a set up at Lye Meadow but it's a beautiful setting when the weather is good. Village has more than a couple of decent pubs - straight off the M42 and you'd probably make the last train back to Leicester

Watch us draw them in the Europa league as well now

And we beat them in the pre season friendly knowing full well the opposite will happen in the group stage lol

Yeah it's really nice there - we go for walks there quite often. I have a good friend in the village who has associations with Leicester, so assuming it all works out we will probably head there with them. He's often asking me how Jake Wakeling is doing!

I agree with most people about playing local teams particularly those in the championship or leugue 1 who have a few weeks training on us. But equally I think we need to match that with at least 2 teams like Lyon, at our level, and at least twice per season to keep that consistency of the level that we are at and on par with.

Yeah agreed, Lyon is an ideal type of final opposition, don't play a top side but play a good one.

Lyon is a great city, would love to draw them in the Europa.

Never been there - TBH, I haven't been to France in a while, and never went beyond Paris. (Usually went to Amiens to see my uncle).  Once all this mess with Covid has really sorted itself out, (we hope!) I wonder how easy it'll be to take a trip to southern France for once?  (Also wondering how rusty my French is by now.)  Of course, if such a trip were to, say, coincide with some football matches, then... :D

Seasons just don't coincide for this.

I'd like to see it, too. I remember seeing the Dallas Tornado in the old NASL as a boy!

I think the only way something like this could happen is either a U.S. tour where you end up playing an MLS reserve side (since they are mid-season.)

Once we have full crowds back, a testimonial for Big Wes between the FA Cup winners and Premier League winners at the KP would be quite something.

Wes, Fuchs, King - anyone else that still needs a testimonial?
