Before the match one mean-spirited and misanthropic individual was complaining about our boy's failure to produce an "end result" - despite him bossing his patch of midfield through a series of appearances.

 

Lo and behold, he only goes and wins the match for us yesterday. It's clear to me that he read this miserable post and decided to mend his wasteful ways by producing an end result. No better way to answer yer critics, Kev.

It’s a decent song, just sounds terrible with out of time clappers along side it.

He's our midfielder that Liverpool would target...Not Tielemans.

 

In a very average season, he has been the standout, and has to be player of the season if he keeps it up, as he has simply been our most consistent player. He has transformed us since he came into the side.

 

He has made himself undroppable, and the first name on the teamsheet in our midfield. But I'd like to see him given the rest in the league, the game after PSV.

Agreed. It does sound marginally better when sung at a more bouncy tempo but I’ve always thought that it was a bit wet for a football chant, especially now, as it’s so slow and groany which isn’t a great fit for a player who is so dynamic. Would be great to have another more energetic chant for him.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored a spectacular first Premier League goal - and set up another - as Leicester kept their hopes of a top-seven finish alive.

The 23-year-old provided the platform for victory on day when manager Brendan Rodgers made seven changes from the midweek Europa Conference League draw with PSV Eindhoven.

Trading places in the middle of the Premier League will soon be forgotten should Leicester City reach the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League and Crystal Palace overcome Chelsea to reach the FA Cup final this week but this was another reminder of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall quietly but assuredly making his mark as a proven Premier League talent.

The playmaker created Ademola Lookman’s opener before swerving home his first Premier League goal as Leicester extended their sound home run to set them in good heart for Thursday’s win-or-bust second-leg tie away to PSV Eindhoven. But once again the Leicester academy graduate, 23, impressed with his overall combination of stealth, touch and work-rate in his breakthrough season at this level.

“I thought Kiernan was outstanding,” Brendan Rodgers, the Leicester manager, said. “He’s a young player who since he came into the team is everything that represents a team of mine: honest, industry, works, presses and he’s got good quality. As a No 8, we’re looking for him to score and create goals. So I’m delighted with his quality and honesty.”

Goals from Ademola Lookman and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall inside six first-half minutes gave much-changed Leicester a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace.

Wilfried Zaha pulled one back for the visitors in the second half, but Brendan Rodgers' seven changes paid off to move them above Palace and into ninth.

Both sides are focusing on competitions away from the Premier League with Leicester set to take on PSV in their Europa Conference League second leg on Thursday while the Eagles are going to Wembley on Sunday in the FA Cup semi-finals against Chelsea.

Leicester continued their fine run of recent form as homegrown talent Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall played a starring role in a hard-earned win over Crystal Palace.

The Foxes started slowly at the King Power Stadium but Dewsbury-Hall carved Palace open with a superb ball for Ademola Lookman to fire home, before whipping his own finish high into the net six minutes later.

"It means so much," he said of his first Premier League goal. "It's a dream come true to score in the Premier League. I have dreamt it since I was a little boy. I have come close but I am so happy today."

Rodgers is either very fortunate or its testament to his coaching (probably half and half) but at both Celtic and now Leicester he has found a rough round the edges academy graduate in his early 20's and they have become his most important player. Callum McGregor and KDH.

 

Maddison still edges POTS as it stands but I wouldn't be surprised if KDH takes it by the end of the season.

Fully agree about maddison being pots. Rodgers loves players like that and it's got to be down to his coaching - before he came in no one gave kdh a chance at the first team. He's made a massive difference.

I know we hate the injury issues we have had over the last two season, but without them we probably wouldn't has seen the emergence of KDH or Thomas.
