Not for the first time in this pandemic all logic goes out the window. Why is it that only Chilwell and Mount have to isolate? What about the rest of the Scotland squad? And the other England players that played the game? Makes no sense at all.

It literally makes zero sense. There are photos of Steve Clarke hugging Gilmour after he subbed him, and a few of other Scotland players with their arms around Gilmour after the game in a similar way to Chilwell and Mount - yet none are isolating. It's bizarre in the extreme.

Reading between the lines, think it’s the government/Public Health England who have decided they should self-isolate. Southgate mentioned in his press conference they’d been told contact on the football field doesn’t transmit it, but the England team now currently trying to work out why they’ve been told differently about non-football contact to whatever the health body for Scotland has told their team. 
 

Given all the different protocols in different countries, it’s amazing there hasn’t been something like this already really.

It would seem it wasn’t just on pitch related, apparently the 3 of them spent time socially in the stadium after the game had finished

I used to think Foden was more of a number 10 but he's a lot more suited to being a direct wide man than I realised.

I like that he can play right across that section of the formation. He's delivered in all 3 positions for Man City. But that is under Pep, not the world-class coach that is Southgate

I don't know what the facts are, but you have to feel sorry for both Gilmour and Mount. 

Two young men, in Gilmour's case, he shone brightly the other night and now can't play in the next two, should Scotland make it. Whether you're a fan of Mount or not, he's been denied games too. 

Chilwell looks like he was unlikely to play anyway, for whatever reason, but Gilmour and Mount must be absolutely gutted
