As for the red, not to blame the Ukraine player at all as it's nowhere near his fault, but Danielson made the challenge, got the ball cleanly, and then it was just a very unsightly and unfortunate collision. The way the leg bent makes it look seriously bad. I'm 99.99999% sure there was no malice or intent for Danielson to do that. He looked in control of the challenge (hence getting the ball). I think people are swayed by the injury of the Ukraine player as opposed to the actual tackle.  Slowed down it looks even worse.

I'm not, but that doesn't take away the fact that England would be heavy favourites on individual talent and the fact they haven't conceded a goal.

If you could really cast an evil curse on someone, you would sentence them to have Jonathan Pearce speaking their inner monologue during their every waking moment.

 

The victim would already be on the edge of insanity and then, when it came to sexy times, with Pearce doing that excited high voice thing that he does when there's a goal chance, the victim would quickly reach for the hemlock...
