Will we have 32k back at the king power from the first home game of this season onwards, or reckon we'll need to apply via ballot or rotate games etc as supporters / season ticket holders?

Will we need jabs to get in?

I think it might depend on whether we see a spike in cases after the euro matches at Wembley.

Still waiting for ticket details on the Community Shield match vs Man City.

I get a vision of Lemmings heading for the cliff wen full capacity is discussed whilst the Delta Variant cases are still accelerating.

Get the feeling after July 19th everything is pretty much back to normal. The assumption seems to be that cases will increase a lot more than now but hospitalisations and deaths will stay flat or increase only marginally. If that’s the case we will be back, including away fans.
They want this new wave now rather than the winter.
Let’s see what happens.

Have season ticket sales been effected, or have they sold out as usual?

I applied for my family of four. Lost on the ballot, but they called last week and said some folks who won didn't want to be in the family stand...so I got mine!

The club isn't going to confirm anything until after the government officially announces what is going on after the 19th, but all indications are lifting of all restrictions, at least for capacity issues (we might have to wear masks or something). But they aren't going to announce the Community shield tickets until then...

The only real issue would be if they institute vaccine passports. I can imagine it would affect a few of the season ticket holders, especially if they haven't gotten the second jab by August.

In theory it should be full capacity by the start of the season (indeed, after 19 July)

I doubt the club would explicitly ban those who aren’t vaccinated, as it would be legally risky without a change in the law.

However, they could decide to force people to prove their “Covid status” (by showing evidence of vaccination, negative test or recent infection) as a condition of entry.

Or, the government could force all clubs to do this as a condition of having a higher capacity.

We should find out soon whether clubs will be forced to do it.

If not, they will make their own decision as private businesses whether this is something they want to do.

...yeah I know what you mean.....!!!

Very much a one track mind and focusing on the here and now...anything else is not a consequence of their actions.

It's largely infecting unvaccinated young people and causing few hospital admissions or deaths, if that remains the case then its time to end this nonsense and live and enjoy our lives again.  We can't live like this any longer.

....even though you are vaccinated you are still a conduit for spreading the virus!!!

Hospital admissions are now rising once again and the longer that this virus is around the more chance of further mutations, and then the vaccine becomes ineffective as we are fighting different strains. Failure to shutdown properly, as with flights coming into the country has been at the hand of people paying lip service, as no effective tracking of isolation and making sure people adhere to the rule had been implemented.

New Zealand shutting down, that also banned incoming flights, worked. The only reason why it became a pandemic was that we ineffectively attempted to close our borders, along with other Countries, spreading the virus everywhere we went.

The UK is an Island, the chance to isolate ourselves could not have been more advantageous, but we messed it up.

An island that needs trade/workers from the EU and other countries to function. This statement is far too simplistic to be an argument. 100 of years previous, maybe possible. But in 2021 not really viable.

No problem with us saying that on here.

Trouble is this appears to be the government’s approach, which I can’t help thinking is less than ideal…

Aha! I’m always looking for a chance to dust off my pedant’s hat - Great Britain is an island (well, several islands really). The UK is that island (those islands) plus Norn Iron.

Agree!

Madness, but what else do you expect from this shambles of a government!

And unfortunately you're not completely immune to it. Currently have 3 family members who've all had both vaccinations quite ill with it.

....sorry to hear that, I hope they have a recovery that has no lasting damage to their bodies!!!

A friend of mine who has isolated unfortunately caught the virus and has lost weight and gone from an active life to struggling to walk for a hundred yards without being breathless.

I do wonder what people see when they step out of their front door, as all I experience is a complete indifference to other people around them. People are still behaving the same way that they did prior to the first lockdown. There will not be a transition to a new way of living, as very few it seems has actually changed their attitudes after 15 months of restricted practises.

Australia closed down and introduced some of the most draconian measures seen in any county to quarantine and prevent outbreaks but sure enough, they're now seeing a rise in cases. There's never going to be zero covid, even if you vaccinate the world variants come and go and - just like winter flu and other airborne disease - sometimes that will mean more deaths. We either stay locked down indefinitely - which is both ineffective and a mental health timebomb - or we go back to normal and wait for medical science to create boosters and vaccines that lessen the risks.

.....Australia opening up their country has caused the rise in the infections now being seen!!!

New Zealand I believe had a negligible Covid deaths and had moved to what was deemed "normal" way of living. As soon as you open the borders to your country you are at the mercy of the efficiency of any system put in place to curb the spread and most importantly monitored isolation.

It does appear that we are going to be living with this for some time, but the practises of others will continue to have us on high alert.

The only hope is that as more and more of the world's population get vaccinated, the less number of cases and deaths due to covid. Even with the changing variants, having some level of protection from the vaccine will hopefully slow down the spread of the virus to a manageable level.

...very much peoples attitude and perception which will dictate how we cope with  this virus....!!!

As a quick straw poll, how many people while walking down the street with people walking towards them take steps to the side, in order to create the space for yourself and the approaching person or persons to safely walk by. Safely meaning a gap of 4 feet (if wearing a mask)?

100% correct. And that as an old boy too

I just hope it's back to normal with away fans attending too.

We'll have home fans travelling from the West Midlands, we've had Wolves and Leicester fans travelling to London for the Euros etc.

It just wouldn't make sense to stop people from travelling now.
