We're starting to shift on these older players in the u23s, either being sold or pushed upwards into the seniors.

3/4 left to get out I can see - Hirst, Eppiah, Clarke, possibly Reghba as well

Leicester City hailed as 'wonderful club' as they sell striker to Championship
The Zimbabwe international spent last season on loan at Wycombe after several years in the club's Under-23s, but now moves on permanently to continue his career

City have received an undisclosed fee for the 22-year-old, who has been a regular fixture in their development squad over the past few years.

Unable to make the grade at the King Power Stadium, Muskwe moves permanently to join the Hatters and continue his career in the second tier, where he enjoyed a decent loan spell last season.

Muskwe played 17 Championship games for Wycombe as they just suffered relegation, the Zimbabwe international scoring three times, including their goal of the season.

Late in the spell at Adams Park he showed signs of an adjustment to senior football having spent several years in City’s Under-23s, where he had a strike rate of better than one in three, bagging 29 goals in 85 outings.

He could have scored more if his development was not stalled by a serious knee injury that kept him on the sidelines for nearly the whole of 2018.

The move to Kenilworth Road marks the latest in a string of deals between City and Luton, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall playing there last season, and with Khanya Leshabela currently on trial there ahead of a potential loan. Two summers ago, James Justin moved the other way.

Luton boss Nathan Jones hailed Muskwe and City as he took delight in clinching a deal for a player he says had other suitors.

“We are delighted to have signed another player who has been a target for a while,” said Jones. “We saw what a threat Ade can be when we came up against him at Wycombe last season. He’s gained valuable experience of the Championship from his time there.

“Coming from a wonderful club like Leicester, he has great pedigree and his arrival adds quality right across the front three as he can play numerous roles. Having beaten a number of other teams to his signature, we can’t wait to get working with him.”

Joining the academy aged nine, Muskwe has been on City’s books for some time.

They said: “The football club would like to thank Admiral for his contribution and wish him every success in his future career.”

Our old academy coach, the one that left with Pearson to Derby, and then ended up on Luton not only helped Justin, but probably KDH and now Muskwe. I’m happy we’ve kept the link.

I've always wanted to see more of what Reghba could do and it'd be a shame if he moved on just yet. The other 3 I can understand.

He didn’t get in the squad for the under 23s in the latter half of the season even they were struggling and now with Wakeling, Shade, Russ, Pennant, McAteer and any other youth players we could possibly bring in he isn’t really good enough to warrant a start in a forward role

Last year was chaos for U23's and I stopped watching with a few months left to go. I haven't seen Russ or McAteer but I have the rest. Wakeling has huge talent and needs loaning out instead of stagnating in the U23's unless they see this season as regularly winning games and handing him that confident no.1 starting spot. Tyreese Shade is pacey but needs to be sharper in his passing. Pennant seems a good all rounder.

I have a feeling a couple will be put in the window for a loan during pre-season.

Good level of move for him and he performed better than I thought he would at Wycombe whilst on loan there. Hopefully he kicks on and carves out a solid career for himself now.
