I’m looking forward to seeing a few of them, I like Yuto Horigome a lot

Yeah he is very good.

It'll make me wanna get the old board out and go and brake my ankle if I watch too much though

Buzzing for this to get underway, love the olympics, although nothing will beat 2012 for me. Great sport and entertainment

Unfortunately, and for obvious reasons, I think this Olympics is going to be quite an underwhelming spectacle.

Fully agree, just hope it goes ahead with minimal Covid interruptions

It's been a major news item in Poland last couple of days lol

Those six who were sent back intend to sue Polish swimming association and demand its chairman dismissed. If succesful they could end up being over 1 million pounds (to share not each) better off! That would be hilarious as their chances of winning anything in Japan were rather slim, to put it mildly

Surely its not hard to count?  That's what I'd expect from the Irish olympic committee (and me mums Irish, having said that my dad was Polish!!!)

Quite a few good competitors in the pool. Ones to watch out for swimming wise for GB;

Anna hopkin, Freya Anderson, Alice Dearing (Team GB’s first ever black swimmer), Abbie Wood, Molly Renshaw…. There’s a few others that are capable of winning a medal.

Peaty is untouchable in his 100 breast. I expect Anna Hopkin, Freya Anderson and Abbie Wood to challenge for a medal, but the women’s relay team is exceptionally strong!

in general, watch out for Caleb Dresssel of the United States, absolute machine, Lily king is also a monster at 100/200 breast and the incredible Katie Ledecky, who isn’t far off the male record for 1500m!

Special shout out to France’s Marie Wattle who trains at Loughborough too, she’s one t watch and a really nice person too!

I recommend the swimming, especially the shorter events as they will be fast and furious!

Enjoying this road race.

It seems that most of the coverage is available on Discovery plus, which apparently you can get for free if a Sky Q customer, or alternatively it's £6.99 for one month. https://promo.discoveryplus.co.uk/promo/all-sports/discoveryplus-home-of-the-olympics?snb=2&utm_source=google&utm_medium=SEMcopy&utm_campaign=Performancemktg&user=olympics&gclid=Cj0KCQjw9O6HBhCrARIsADx5qCR867LrSHtuvBLts1rjkhn432GV3rSNBuUwchxFh8pVLkwlA7KUWQ4aApCiEALw_wcB

Noticed how rubbish it was trying to watch the coverage this morning. Tried to watch a bit of the gymnastics but gave up In the end. If you've only got 2 feeds then show them rather talking bollocks in the studio every 10 minutes.

Thought this myself, is there any need to keep going back to the studio. Give us the action!

Monster ride from Carapaz to win the road race. Great when the little countries win a gold, that was just Ecuadors 2nd in their history.

These road racers really are something else, doing that straight off the back of 3 weeks on the tour. Truly elite athletes.
