I enjoyed the street contest.  You had the big upset with Nyjah not even making the podium and local boy Yuto absolutely nailing his trick section to shut out Hoeffler after he dominated the runs.  I do think it lacked a bit for atmosphere, but that's not something they could help.  See here for an event with crowds:

You can't compare these runs to promo videos where they do take after take until they get the perfect shot, that's like comparing a footballer's highlights reel to their performance in a single match.

But that is what street Skating is? You can spend all day trying to nail a trick and it comes off when your absolutely knackered, covered in shit and on your last legs. It's a battle with yourself for one tiny moment and it's amazing when it comes off. There are videos that show this as well and they're just as enjoyable as the promo's with all the highlights.

I'm not knocking these street contests but to me there are a little boring. Maybe if you had a security guard trying to stop you before you hit the rail it may give you some authenticity 😂

Peaty is an absolute machine…. Redefined the breaststroke and is an absolute powerhouse….. we should be especially proud that he trains at Loughborough.

Special mention to Marie Wattel of France, she too trains at Loughborough and finished 5th in the fastest female 100m fly race in history….

What the hell is going on with Handball?

I could literally be the Lionel Messi of that shit.

It ain't even a sport, surely?

It's one of the rougher sports. Unless you are at least 6ft tall you will never make it in the sport either. All units.

Sam Queck is a sight for sore eyes on a Monday morning!

She's stunning, but an absolutely shocking presenter. And I'm not one of those one who hates all female presenters in sport, I think Alex Scott is great, I think Gabby Logan and Clare Balding are top draw. Quek just has little charisma and struggles with a live changing situation. I've seen her on other things and heard her on the radio, she fine with a set script, but live interviews, changing events she's not great, she's like a rabbit in headlights at times.

Another top class presenter. One of the best.

Seema Jaswal who does the snooker at times is great too. And she's not bad looking either.

Hope Matty Lee isn't forgotten, absolutely faultless in his debut Olympics. Pleased Tom Daley has finally got his gold.

Great day for GB.

Yeah, well done boys and well done Tom. His fourth Olympics and still only 27!

. Good shout on Clare Balding - she has an incredible breadth of knowledge across multiple sports and a very acomplished presenter. She doesn't get the credit she deserves I think!

Stuck the diving on while I was having my breakfast. Great viewing, even though I hadn't really got a clue what was good and what was bad. I'd watch a pair dive and think they'd nailed it and the commentary would say how poor it was and vice-versa.

Chuffed they both won it, feel a bit for Matty Lee. Feels like people have forgotten about him already. Even on the radio on the way to work they pretty much ignored him.

With Peaty and Pidcock also winning, it's turning into a fantastic day so far. Bloody love the Olympics.

Peaty is unbelievable, really. Saw this earlier;

Just unbelievable domination.

Peaty is a phenomenon. He's also got the 9 fastest times in the 50m too. He's just ridiculously good. I often think he gets overlooked in this country, and should get more recognition.

Gold in the diving for Tom Daley and Matt Lee.

Feels long overdue for Daley.

Yep, nice to wake up to that news. Happy for him.

Peaty's gold was pretty much a 100% guarantee. Glad he didn't disappoint!

Great effort from Pidcock as well. What a morning for GB.

This Olympic coverage is so poor isn’t it, woke up especially for the Swimming but despite British interest, neither BBC or Eurosport are showing it, Eurosport would prefer to show Men’s Volleyball highlights

Last night’s action was great though, Peaty unsurprisingly dominant, plus the battle between Titmus & Ledecky in the Women’s 400m freestyle was a great watch.

Good to see Tom Daley finally get an Olympic Gold too :)

Depends what time you woke up lol

I woke up and they had the coverage of Peaty's win & analysis on BBC and Eurosport.
