Popular Post happy85 Posted 20 July 2021 Popular Post Posted 20 July 2021 (edited) Arsenal could offer fringe players to Leicester as they step up hunt for KEY target James Maddison... with Reiss Nelson and Ainsley Maitland-Niles available to help sweeten the deal. happy85 Posted 20 July 2021 Author Posted 20 July 2021 Unclear why Maddison thread been locked . This is fluid situation 1 2
Popular Post SecretPro Posted 20 July 2021 Popular Post Posted 20 July 2021 And why the **** would we want arsenal fringe players? They are fookin dilge. 7 1
happy85 Posted 20 July 2021 Author Posted 20 July 2021 It is believed that at this stage, £50million would not be enough to bring Leicester to the table for Maddison, BUT Arsenal would allow a fringe player – such as winger Reiss Nelson – to move in the opposite direction to sweeten the deal. Popular Post STUHILL Posted 20 July 2021 Popular Post Posted 20 July 2021 We don't even want Arsenal first team players! 😆 5 8
Popular Post Clever Fox Posted 20 July 2021 Popular Post Posted 20 July 2021 Add Saka's name as part of the deal and we might think about it. 16
Devonfox1884 Posted 20 July 2021 Posted 20 July 2021 Actually think Nelson would do ok here if we were to sell Madders and take a player in exchange, not necessarily as a starter but would be a good squad option.
happy85 Posted 20 July 2021 Author Posted 20 July 2021 Leicester rejected an offer of £70m for Maddison from another Premier League club last summer and the 24-year-old then signed a new four-year deal worth £100,000 a week. That places them in an extremely strong bargaining position. Mail
kingfox Posted 20 July 2021 Posted 20 July 2021 The fringe player I’d want doesn’t get mentioned, so they can piss off
jeffschlupp Posted 20 July 2021 Posted 20 July 2021 If they're not good enough for Arsenal who finished 8th, why the f*** would any of them be good enough for us? Pay the money or get stuffed - and that will be the LCFC line too
Popular Post Pliskin Posted 20 July 2021 Popular Post Posted 20 July 2021 (edited) Haha are Arsenal ****ing deluded…. Two fringe players for one player from a team above them….. they’re like a Jack Russell trying to shag a Great Dane….. just piss off, you’re not a top side anymore… Edited 20 July 2021 by Pliskin 16
Leicester_Loyal Posted 20 July 2021 Posted 20 July 2021 We don't need squad players, we've just signed 3 with potentially another one on the way. If anything we need to ship 1 or 2 out.
FoxOnWheels Posted 20 July 2021 Posted 20 July 2021 50 million and Nelson wouldn’t be the worse deal ever, think he could do alright with a fresh start
Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 20 July 2021 Posted 20 July 2021 I reckon we'll sell him. 50m goes a long way in this market. Anything north of 60m and we should take it. They've definitely got the money too.
adam Posted 20 July 2021 Posted 20 July 2021 Sounds the complete opposite of how our transfers work. Why do we want some mid table misfits from arsenal.
ScrumpyJack Posted 20 July 2021 Posted 20 July 2021 Dunno who Reiss Nelson is but a bit of wonga plus Willock would be a banging trade for the problem child.

Langston Posted 20 July 2021 Posted 20 July 2021 It'd just be a weird move from Maddison's point-of-view, surely? I get that there's still a lure of playing for Arsenal - but in their current state if he goes he's essentially binning off the chance of "your Uniteds" coming in for him for a couple of seasons at the very least. His stock is almost guaranteed to rise here. We are genuinely a better bet than either Arsenal or Spurs as it stands, especially factoring in what a short career being a footballer is. 3
Corky Posted 20 July 2021 Posted 20 July 2021 We'll know for certain if he's going when Robbie from AFTV turns up outside Seagrave and doesn't spot him training. 3
moore_94 Posted 20 July 2021 Posted 20 July 2021 (edited) Maitland-Niles wants be a centre mid which we don't need Nelson has yet to do anything impressive in his career to warrant being a starting winger for us (we don't really have the squad space for ANOTHER squad winger which is also Nelson would be AND hopefully a starting winger) £70m+ or chuff off Edited 20 July 2021 by moore_94 1 1
Leicester_Loyal Posted 20 July 2021 Posted 20 July 2021 (edited) Sell Maddison, sign Lingard? Edited 20 July 2021 by Leicester_Loyal 3

But it should be on our terms and no way should we be accepting their cast offs in exchange. £60m+ or do one.
Gav_LCFC14 Posted 20 July 2021 Posted 20 July 2021 Selling Maddison to a club that's now below us, is not progress. We need to keep hold of our players and strengthen. 2
