Sorry mate but this is baseless. “Just feels like” “may just end up” “not sure” are unproven feelings not solid reasons to sell. Don’t mean to sound harsh but all these rumours about James and assumptions are a bit crazy. As is all the subsequent hate and villain portraits we’ve seen from sections of the fan base. I doubt he’s going anywhere, I doubt he’s fallen out with anybody at the football club and I very much doubt he wants to go to Arsenal.

Although I agree he is going nowhere, isn’t this just the other side of the supposition coin?

I guess it all boils down to what a Madders really wants to do, I mean who wouldn’t want to double their wages even if it’s seen to be a step down. Personally I hope he stays and I’m even more hopeful that either Madders or someone at the club can say it’s all rubbish and put the issue to bed.

Double his wages came from AFCBell-end.  Any real substance in this?  Artita would have  queue at his door if this was reality.  I suspect pure Harry Potter conjecture.

You reckon Soumaré and Daka are squad players then? I was assuming they were coming to play - guess we’ll see!

I don't think they'll be the first name on the team steet like Kasper, Evans, Tielemans or Barnes etc. They'll get plenty of games but it'll take them a while to get adjusted to the league and the country. The good thing is that when you have European football, even the 'squad players' (if that's the right term to use) will get 25 games a season. Previously when we've had 3 games in a week, we've had to start Tielemans and Vardy in all 3 and play them for the full 90 due to our lack of options, now we have the luxury of subbing them off early for other class players or playing them in only 2 of the 3 games, because the replacement players are good enough now unlike before.

For me losing Maddison weakens the first team and to do that while strengthening a rival would be silly, we won't entertain it unless it's seriously silly money. Im not to sure he has fallen out with Rodgers either as everyone is suggesting.  He may be a little arrogant but that's why he is a game changer. I wouldn't say he is a bad egg at all. 100% keep, was class when Vardy went out of form last year. He just needs to be fully fit, it helps if Barnes is fit as-well to create space for him and they ink up well.

Daka will most definitely be starting every game. Vardy will probably partner him early doors, but I’d be very surprised if Daka wasn’t the key man this season.

Ridiculous story. If the makeweights aren't good enough to get into Arsenal's side then they're definitely nowhere near good enough for our team. Why would we want or need them?

Arrogance from the media to think we'd be happy with Arsenal cast offs. We've got much better players.

There is part of me that thinks Maddison is made for a squad like Arsenal. Soft as shite, all about image and social media but then the other half of me thinks there is potentially a great player to come out and we'd be stupid to sell.

Its a big job replacing him but he's definitely not irreplaceable.

I'd be disappointed if he actively pursued the move but it wouldn't surprise me.

I’d be sorry to see him go, I know he is impetuous at times and his form can be erratic but he really is a special player. I think he has another level or two to achieve and I hope he does it here.

Vardy and Daka as a partnership is very unlikely to work, they are so similar in style.

It’s a forum mate, so all about opinions …. If we only dealt in hard facts there would be a couple of posts a month!!

but yeah, maybe he doesn’t want to live in London (playing for Arsenal is just the vehicle for that), and maybe he wants to stay!

Potentially Daka and Kelch then? But I would be surprised if Daka isn’t the main man. Vardy will be used for the big occasions and EL I think. At least I hope, I think more sporadic appearances from Vards would yield more consistent performances.

Reiss Nelson was ahead of his mate Sancho at one point, but has lost his way, Rodgers would be the ideal manager to get him back on track.  Although I wouldn't swap any of their player(s), unless it is Saka for Maddison.  I would want cold hard cash, and lots of it from those North London cheapskates.

For comparison people rave over how good mount is despite only getting 6 goals and 6 assists despite being fit all season

He is very good.  Maddison not that far behind.

I thought Nelson would go on to be a superstar and I'd not be against us trying to get him in but we no longer go for players like that.

What’s the chances of a front 3 of Vardy up top with Barnes inside left and Daka inside right? Might be why we haven’t been linked to any right wingers?

Not at the cost of losing one of our best players.  This is clearly a story based in London for London consumption.  Arsenal don't have the sort of cash for a player like Madders so the media feed it by making up these stupid types of offers.

Agreed, I'd want us to pursue Nelson separately. His contract is up next summer and can there's no way the tribunal fee would be more than £8m

Can’t see the point in playing a striker out wide but then again Rodgers has been previously said to like 2 strikers and 1 winger when playing 433. He did it at Liverpool with Suarez, Sterling and Sturridge.

Maybe to let Daka get used to the English game without the pressure of being “the main man”.  It also gives us probably the last year of Vardy as a starter and if we get injury issues we’ve got options of Nacho, Perez, 2 strikers etc then next summer Vardy can become a sun, Daka the striker and a right winger the big summer signing.
