Ian Wright abuse today

Think probably warrants own topic. Was disgraceful abuse Wright got today from Leicester fans, think club needs to make sure firm action taken and show people who behave like this are not welcome at Leicester.

 

 

The issue of booing the knee is separate, but think this is also gonna be a big problem further down the line. Hearing boos makes me recoil slightly and looking at the faces on non-white people in crowd today was pretty depressing when a small number of boos were heard in Leicester end.

It’s grim and I hope they’re not members and this was their day out of Leicester for the year. Embarrassing but I’m sure Wright and Keane know they’re a vocal minority, but also still sucks to have people like this associated with the club

Similar story to Vardy how he came through a tough start, fought through adversity and proved himself in the top division. Out of the game, as a grown up he's stood by his convictions and fought for good causes respectfully. Always been complimentary of our rise. Alot of respect for the bloke compared to many, many other pundits out there.

 

Y'know, there's fair banter and there's going too far lads. How can you dislike the bloke?

Disgusting and embarrassing. Sounds like it was on going abuse. I have no idea why there aren't stewards or specialist teams that are there specifically to identify and remove these people immediately, then slapping them with life-time bans. 

We can't change how these morons think over night (or ever!), but we can certainly take away their privilege of watching us play live.

I find it disturbing that people like this still exist. What is wrong with these people. Ian Wright was a great footballer and and is a very fare pundit. I actually think he likes Leicester. I would willingly pay more tax to lock these scum of the earth up with no early release

its so painful to be associated with those people in any way shape or form.

 

 

I have to be careful how I say this as there have been plenty of good people  condemning what went on, but if those were forest fans there would be a thread as long as my arm condemning the vile scumbags.

 

 

More people should be outraged by this…. Maybe people just are not aware what happened.

I just don't get how you can come from one of the most multicultural cities in the world, supporting a side with players of multiple nationalities and races - including some like Choudhury who we know take huge pride in representing their community on the pitch, and come out with racist abuse of anybody - let alone someone like Wrighty who has been an amazing proponent of our club and side in the past few years.

Shameful. Root them out and make an example of them, there's absolutely no place for it in any corner of football, especially Leicester City.

For those who rightly find this depressing, just always try to remember - They are a minority. We are the majority and as Ian Wright said, they do not represent Leicester fans. It's the same with those who boo players kneeling. The cheers of the majority will always drown them out. 

 

With that being said, the FA and Clubs must look at ways of identifying racist abuse at stadiums and banning those responsible for life. It surely cannot be that hard to have a team of people at the stadium who's only job is to detect morons shouting racist abuse and having them thrown out/banned. Invest the money FA ffs!

Depressing, but entirely unsurprising. Some of our so called "fans" we have are scum, and a total embarrassment to our club and our city, and the vast majority of the respectful fanbase.
