StanSP Posted 2 October 2021 Posted 2 October 2021 A back 3 works in our favour in terms of wanting Iheanacho to play as I suspect he may partner Vardy. It doesn't work out defensively as Amartey and Vestergaard don't fill me with much confidence against the likes of Ayew, Edouard and Zaha, and then potentially Benteke. Weirdly I think the way we play might actually help us out - Palace love to have the ball and run at us, so if we're sensible with the ball and take the momentum out of their game, it could work out. But then I think of how we played against West Ham, and Palace are a side that employ quick attacks and capitalise on mistakes, something we're very prone to doing right now. I'd love for us to just actually take the lead in a game and then control it. As opposed to trying to control, losing a goal, then trying to work our way back in and doing so when it's too late.

Bit harsh on him but lookman is an absolute must imo
Tielemans63 Posted 2 October 2021 Posted 2 October 2021 Hamza to score the winner in the 88th and then end Zaha's career in the 89th. It is written. 1
An Sionnach Posted 2 October 2021 Posted 2 October 2021 Early season lethality of Vardy will worry them so plenty to play for.

Its the Southgate mentality of addressing a weakness in your side by packing more of those players in. I know you need a solid defensive base to a team, but addressing the lack of quality centre backs by playing more of them is nonsensical. Brendan Rodgers summed up in 1 little sentence. 10 million a year.
reynard Posted 2 October 2021 Posted 2 October 2021 I think we will go a sort of 6-4-0 which can be fluid and change to a 6-3-1 when attacking. Lots of slow deliberate short passes between the centre backs and not much forward movement until we're 2-0 down with ten minutes to go. 3 1

Clever Fox Posted 2 October 2021 Posted 2 October 2021 Form tells us we're going to lose this game, However history tells we're likely to do a Leicester and find a way to win. It really depends on what team turns up, The one we've had to endure lately or the never say die skilled set of talented players we know are in the squad. I'm hoping for the later. Though the loss of NDiddi's pace will be a factor.
Number 6 Posted 2 October 2021 Posted 2 October 2021 Really hoping for a Vardy eagle or two tomorrow.

ChrisFilter Posted 2 October 2021 Posted 2 October 2021 2/1 for a Palace win so I've chucked £50 on that to at least guarantee us a draw. 1
Silva Fox Posted 2 October 2021 Posted 2 October 2021 Nacho to bag a brace for a 2-1 win, Gallagher for them.

Jakemoore Posted 2 October 2021 Posted 2 October 2021 I’ve put a tenner on palace to beat us as part of a 5 fold acca. That way if we win I’ll be buzzing and £40 down (ticket plus bet) and if we lose I might just be £510 up. Would I take us losing again tomorrow if it meant me winning £510 off a £10 stake? Hmmmmmmm
Pliskin Posted 2 October 2021 Posted 2 October 2021 Here we go. 0-4….. Brendan drops his silly slow ponderous possession football, and switches to a more counter attacking style, Barnes with one a Vardy brace and Daka to finally score. However, is now a good time to say Viera hasn’t lost to Leicester in any capacity….. 2
