Positives:

Castagne I thought did a good on Zaha

Cags ok again

Iheanacho plays, and scores, so does his strike partner.

We didn’t lose

Negatives:

Apart from the two goals, we were awful again. This is all on Rodgers, if you want to praise him for 2 5th’s and the FA Cup. (By the way, the two 5th’s, one at least should’ve been 4th, so I hate that argument. Don’t just look at the paper, look at the performances and how we’ve thrown things away)

Vestergaard again poor, Bertrand worse… however in his defence, Barnes I hadn’t noticed really until today just how poor he is defensively. Never switched on when we don’t have the ball, really needs to sort that part of his game out. Balls float over his head constantly to their winger / full back.

We were 2-0 up and didn’t win…

I lost £20 as I was convinced palace would batter us…

Subs - never make any sense. Never

IF … and it’s a big if at minute, we get N’Didi Fofana and Evans back starting every week and we still look like this, I don’t see how the manager stays in a job.

Despite going 2 up that was our worst performance of the season. Totally dominated to Crystal Fking Palace, no midfield and awful at the back with the exception of Castagne who handled Zaha well.

I thought he did well, and shouldn’t have come off. Subs weird again. Maddison came on as well as made some pathetic tackles or attempts, and it lead to another goal.

I presume the only reason anyone has given Barnes more than 1 is because he got an assist (which wasn’t one strictly speaking because the defender deflected his poor pass into Vardy’s path). Other than that he was an utter liability, virtually everything he did was cack, and the fact Rodgers kept him on for the full 90 minutes defied belief.

He looked shattered at half time, which is expected after having no game time in 6 months. Should've been played against Millwall to get some minutes in his legs

I thought most players looked knackered 😂 or they weren’t trying

He was brushed off the ball way too easily, constantly getting caught on the ball wondering what to do with it. I'd give him some leeway because it was his first game of the season, but he's got massive boots to fill. Ndidi is a colossus player.

That sounds like Youri who also gave the ball away at least 4 times under no pressure at all.

Surprised that Timmy currently has an average mark of only 6.1. Thought he completely nullified Zaha.

Castagne did brilliantly, but people might be looking at his dodgy clearance before the second goal. It was bound to happen, I thought, because he spent the rest of the game wiping the CBs' arses.

Thought he did well, but Zara certainly didn’t look nullified to me.  Had a very impactful match.

Again we look like a team who have just meet each other , no one seems to be able to pass the ball to another player , and the movement from players is pathetic.
YOURI looks tired and he has been playing like a busted arse , but we refused to buy another attacking midfielder so we are stuck with a player way out of form .
the defence is really struggling they don’t seem to know the jobs and rather than clear the ball they try to pass it out and end up turning the ball over .
I thought like must on heat we had bought well during the window but I think we didn’t, apart from lookman he at least gets ball and does something with it .
think this we be a long season , and the end result will see a lot of are better players leave

Were you at West Ham!!!

I thought Palace basically huffed and puffed, didn’t actually control the game and we weren’t as bad as you all like to make out.

Palace were way more dynamic, energetic and lively than we were.

I thought Olise was excellent when he came on, and it looks like they've got a good, young side developing.

They played a bit like we used to.

M

They played a bit like we used to.

I understand your point of view, but there passing wasn’t brilliant and they were often route one (which is fair enough if it works).

Key passes in the final third didn’t find a man often and they relied on lucky bounces in the box to create problems. They were the home team so you would expect a bit more forward play. Spoke to my Palace mate after the game, he thought it was a fair result, wasn’t happy with his team at all.

....don't tell Ric, he had him down as a must have last season...the problem is nobody listens!!!

Yeah, maybe we made them look good.

I watched it with a Palace fan, and he was quite excited for when they get Eze back, Edouard scoring and Olise fit again.
