'And it's liiiive'

Martin Tyler, whenever he says that now, sounds as if it's his own trademark quote and loves it too much for it - quite cringeworthy.

'Them little pockets' including the bad grammar. 'Those little pockets' is also very grating.

Basically, 'little pockets'.

Also, anything that's described as 'top top'.

'Not that type of player'

You've broken someone's leg through a dangerous and needless challenge but it's ok as I'm sure it will heal itself since you aren't that type of player.

"Club's DNA".

Completely meaningless.

That phrase itself is quite cringeworthy but I actually see where they coming from. Clubs of a particular stature do have a playing or a specific set of values attached to them. Barcelona for instance have had a clear style of play throughout my lifetime and for the most part they have appointed managers on that basis. Despite Ronald Koeman having been a great player for them, I don't associate him as being a typical Barcelona manager based on what I have seen from other teams that he has managed.

Another prime example would be Ajax. They have a certain identity due to their youth policy and they have a style of play that is associated with them.

"the football club"

Just say club or X team.

"field of play"

it's just a pitch ain't it? Maybe whilst the games in progress it's a field of play, it just irritates me. Makes then sound like they're trying to be clever.

Incredible, superb, stupendous, brilliant, world class.. when none of these actually apply to what is being described

need to get out to quick start

Stringer - refers to the nationality of the player, eg Mahrez ' a great goal from the Algerian'

"World Class" is over used nowadays.

I see at least 1 PL player called "World Class" every week when in reality there aren't many World Class players in the league.
