Looks like Forest are going ahead with there expansion as they could be in Europe. Not like our lot

Our lot couldnt organise a piss up in a brewery, part of me now thinks the expansion talk was nothing but, even if by some miracle we stayed up there would be an excuse not to go ahead.

Can’t see us going through with it now. Think you only get 5yr after planning to start then you need to apply again. Embarrassing is an understatement, could have easily been avoided.

Can't have been just talk as they spent over a million quid on it. I think there was a genuine intention to get it done but covid and King Powers business issues stopped the momentum.

Ownership of the land, including the EON site, and planning consent has made the club a more saleable asset.

I don’t think anyone has been out for updated quotations in a long time now.

This scheme Is cooked and they don’t see we have the capacity for growth like other business ventures they own.

We are a money pit let’s admit it.

If your free cash flow is limited, you don’t spend it on something that has next to no return on investment. We don’t have the pull of a massive Premier League giant like Manchester United, Arsenal or Liverpool.

Even Manchester City who have been very succesful struggle to fill the “Emptyhad”.

This is more a case of why waste money on a vanity project. We are going through a massive reset and I think we are now seeing that they don’t want to pump money into us in a fashion. Top didn’t really cancel the debt either, as he owns that in shares. So he gets it back when / if he sells.

He still had to put the money In now though and only at an unknown time in the future if he sells and gets the value that he has set for the club would he get it back.

There are lots of things to critisie the owners for but not investing isn't one of them they have shown time and again that they will invest. How they spend that investment though is a different matter and can definitely be critisised

I liked it. It looked modern and unique. Maybe that was just something to do with not having a generic bowl anymore.

Crazy how quick the buzz and excitement of it all has evaporated. A real wasted opportunity.

Within 5-10 years we will be to other clubs like we were in the filbert street days, 30k is the new 20k.

Said it before but is some communication from the club too much to expect? They made a big enough song and dance about it when first proposed but now nothing. Is it still an ambition or not. Only needs a few words in one of its media outlets. Just tell us, ffs.

The way the club is being run down that's all we'll  ever need .

This is the issue I have. They’ve done all the plans, videos etc… and related communications.

A simple communication to say the expansion is still intended or it’s not happening isn’t much to ask for.

The expansion was going to be funded with loans taken out against TV money from the top flight.

Our club's moronic structure let the relegation of 22-23 happen through sheer ineptitude, which jeapordised everything. They're just too shady to publicly admit that it's now dead in the water unless by some miracle we survive and get the second year's worth of EPL money we need for it.

Internally, I think they gave up on it by the time we lined up against Cov that August.

The grand announcement of this build followed by the silence reflects the increasing malaise of the club under King Power. The lack of respect shown to the fans through non communication is part of this malaise.

I’m not having that it’s because they are private individuals, when things are tough it take some balls to to front up and be honest with people and to not do that shows a lack of respect and a lack of bottle. Yes we are seen increasingly as customers rather than fans that can be squeezed for every last penny but ironically the club even fail here - if we were more engaged with by the club, if we were treated with respect from a communication perspective (particularly during tough times) then most of us would be happier and understanding and ultimately more likely to spend the money they want us to!

Alot of the money they "invest" is just covering up their cock ups ,one day someone  at Kingpower will say enough enough.

They've never since the day they walked in been up front with us.

They've only told us about this and Seagrave because they had to apply for planning permission. Otherwise it would have been the day the diggers moved in.

It's a business and the customer needs to know nothing until it happens.

Yes because we spend it all on wages the investment from King Power is alot, the way that they spend it is wrong.

I'm not saying don't critise I'm just saying critise the things they actually do wrong

To be honest, I was just happy to move away from the cookie cutter, symmetrical bowl look and have a distinguishing feature.
