He punched one in the net vs Spurs when we were 2-1 up and cruising that arguably was the catalyst for us to then fall apart and miss out on the top 4 again. Only regret I have with him, he'd have got his CL adventure again if so. But what a player he's been for us.

he's made many more but can't be bothered to think of them. i can think of two now tho, his goal kick straight into ndidi's ass against bounemouth, and him giving away a pen against blackpool late on.

Yes, missed those. But over a decade, we're naming a few clangers.

I can name 2 by Allison and 1 by Ederson, against us alone.

But they're better right?

I'm sure Lloris has cocked up against us too?

I watch us every week, so Kaspers errors are highlighted.

I'd genuinely have Kasper over any keeper. And it's saved us 50 million quid.

Imagine spending that on Kepa. He couldn't catch Covid.

Pound for pound, signing Kasper was as cost effective as signing some unknown non-league striker.

i rate kasper very highly, very lucky to have such a brilliant keeper. winds me up when people complain about him. and yeah, being at the club 11 years he's going to have memorable clangers. him, vardy and mahrez are the best signings we've ever made.

And I can't think of a better ambassador for our club.

Look at the way he conducted himself during the Euros.

Then the English press try to put words into his mouth lol

He's also my man crush. Be honest, he's a beautiful looking man

Made up for it with to Cup final winning save to be fair.

Its not always about the mistake you make but how you bounce back from them.

Yesterday was the first time I've been to a home game for almost 2 years. I've been to loads of away games since, but...

Those highlights on the screens almost had me in tears, very emotional. One was the incredible Kasper save.

We all love the Youri thunderbastard, but those 2 Kasper saves are easily forgotten.

If our winner was a scrambled goal, those saves would go down in history.

His distribution is occasionally amazing but very often horrendous. That can’t be denied. But Kasper has been consistently one of the best shot stoppers in the world and for me a top 5 GK in the Premier League since 2014.

We are very very lucky to have him. If you don’t agree then you’re wrong.

Absolutely deserves the honor. Good Luck finding an all around keeper to replace him. The man's gold for me. You don't know what you've got till its gone.

The cup final happened before his mistake vs Spurs. I'd have taken his heroics in the final over dragging us across the line on the final day to have got top 4 but given his recent comments I do wonder how much that error plays on his mind. We were all but qualified.

Me bad, I'm still in the old fashion mindset the final is a the end of the season.

I think it will hurt him, he's a winner.

We will have a late surge and put it right this year ;)

Perez miss vs Chelsea and quite a few Vardy misses in the run in were just as influential in us missing out

Kasper came 7th in the Yashin Trophy standings.

Behind Donnarumma, Mendy, Neuer, Oblak, Ederson and Martinez.

We literally have the 7th best keeper in the world right now.

I think some people need to respect the talent we have on our hands right now. Yeah he's not perfect but he's pretty bloody good!!

Made an outstanding one on one save yesterday.

Came absolutely flying out.

The Watford striker should have taken it himself, before passing to King as we were ripped apart, but what a save.

We're lucky to have him.

If you want to slag off his distribution, fine, but as a shot stopper, he's exceptional.

Without being biased, I honestly can’t think of a better shot stopper in the business.

He’s the best keeper we’ve ever had. Still can’t believe he finished behind Martinez 😩🤦🏻‍♂️😂

How's he managed to get on that list!

FIFA: Okay so we need to call Kasper and tell him he didn't make the list
FIFA: Who is going to call him to break the news?

Oh yes, I'm not saying there weren't plenty of others as it's a 38 game season but when you are in total control of a game with about 15-20 mins to go that sees you qualify for the top 4 and you chin one in your own net, it takes a strong mind to ignore it. He'll have bog regrets given he's so desperate to play in the CL again.

He most certainly is a beautiful man, and I've had the pleasure of meeting him while he was wearing nothing but his underwear

We have such a great tradition in goalkeepers, and one day we will look back and give him the credit he deserves. In Shilton and Banks day he would have been right up there because players were smaller.

He is a bit of a throwback because of his height, but his shot stopping is regularly world class.

Guessing Martinez stock has risen as he was the keeper for Argentina at Copa America...

yeah but we won our first FA cup too, where he made a couple of unbelievable saves. Just a popularity contest ballon dor is.

Legend. As posters have said above, it will feel strange when Vardy and Schmeichel retire, it honestly feels that they are part of the DNA at the club. The same will apply to Vardy but more so with Schmeichel but I think that people will only start to appreciate how good he was when the day finally comes but I guess that is the nature of his position. Some of the saves over the years have been iconic - stops against Kane in the title winning season, the two penalty saves against Sevilla and his save in the FA Cup final all spring to mind and that is not even scratching the surface. Above all, he has highlighted everything good about the club off the pitch, he is evidently a very intelligent and well grounded person. We are lucky.
