If we sold rubbish like Maguire for 80m then Fofana is worth at least 150m

I worry with the rudiger contract situation that this could be accurate.

I could see Fofana at Chelsea sadly.

 

With Rudiger, Christensen and Azpilicueta all out of contract in the summer, they’ll need more than one defender.

Given what Fofana has said about Chelsea publicly, I think this is a matter of time. Would be suprised to see this happen until the summer because of his injury return.

It'd be a lot easier to keep these players if we weren't losing and playing dire football. Worrying.

Agree - however they are a major part of the rot and should take responsibility. Its so f..... easy just to request transfer instead of knuckling down. Hate the attitude

This lad is something special! I can tell you that because I taught him at Primary School and coached him at grassroots level. I'd be thrilled if we got him at the KP.

I just hope Fofana gives us until summer 2023 after looking after him while injured. It'd be great to see him develop and help push us back towards the top of the table.

 

The trouble is I think that means he'd have just 2 years left on his contract by then so he'd end up going for a reduced fee if he doesn't extend his contract.

 

We may be on the cusp of a bit of a refresh if Kasper, Vardy, Evans and Tielemans go, with question marks over Ndidi, Soyuncu and Iheanacho as well, plus Brendan and his coaches of course.

 

A huge fee for Fofana would help us rebuild but I think he'd be worth more to us in the team during the forthcoming period.
