About 3 years ago, on Boxing Day, I managed to get out of seeing Mary Poppins 2 to watch Leicester v Man City. Ricardo scored and we won. Even though we lost today, it would have been much more fun than seeing Mary Poppins 3 if it existed.

Man City beat virtually everyone. If we're going to lose I'd rather that way than the gutless surrender against Chelsea.

 

At least we made a game of it for a bit and showed ambition to attack.

Yes, they upped a gear alright but we kept on scoring nonetheless...

A better defense and it may not have mattered whether or not they upped a gear.

I'm sorry that's just not true. Man City teams are known for not taking their foot off the pedal. We caught them on the break, switched up our formation. Pep even said they were not sure what to do, defend or attack after we scored 2.

Another three goals conceded from corners today. We still do zonal marking. Rodgers has a set piece coach allegedly. 
 

Rodgers out. I’ve long had enough. Don’t let 3 good goals scored paint over the fact we’ve conceded six goals. Embarrassing at any level, regardless of the circumstances.

Man City teams under Guardiola don't stop trying. They are known for being ruthless against a weakened, battered opponent (at times we're a lower budget version of them). It is very rare they'll nearly concede a 3/4 goal lead.

With all the ongoing injuries, this season is pretty much a write off. Frankly I’d be happy to finish in the top half. Avoid the Europa league, which combined with a WC will put too much strain on our squad. Then go for it again next season. There just seems to be too many fixtures and fixture congestion these days.
