I think all clubs will have their games rearranged on the earliest possible dates available

PL isn’t interested in player welfare, its interested in money and ensuring tv schedules are filled.

Corrected it for you.

To be fair though, the clubs want the PL TV money so of course they're going to often be brutal about the scheduling to ensure there's not a risk of that funding being whipped away from them and then clubs are in a whole host more shit than they already are.

Nature of the beast. Who's in charge, me or the devil?

For the record our best, most enjoyable performance of the season come when we had a depleted squad, it looked like there was more hunger there, they wanted it more, they played like a team that wanted to attack, go forwards and be positive, it may have been coincidence but it was a refreshing change!

This sounds absurd given we lost 6-3, but I thought the Man City performance was excellent, baring the comedy defending. The last two games have been like watching us under a new manager, focus on getting the ball forward rapidly and getting shots off. It seems the debacle at anfield flicked a switch in Rodgers

Norwich was them not us.

I was talking regarding the rearranged Tottenham game, we got it called off and in hindsight (and something that could have been foreseen) we’d have been better off playing and leaving at the time of the original scheduling.

Part of me can’t help but think Rodgers plays this way in games we ‘expected’ to lose, in a defence mechanism and excuse that he can then turn around and say ‘Well that’s why we don’t play that way’.

Being local, I can deal with the home games but it's so hard trying to plan away games this season knowing they could be cancelled the day before. By either side, there's just no telling.

Don't think I'll do many away days this years. Probably stick to the FA Cup knowing that we'll likely have to put a youth team out at the very least

Another main contributor (Along with other reasons) why i'm rapidly losing interest.

@Facecloth last night was talking about taking a young supporter to this coming Saturdays game hoping it goes ahead as he was meant to go to the Norwich game as was so upset it was cancelled and mentioned it's an important developing youngsters connection with the club and that if it keeps happening they'll not wanna go, lose interest or not be bothered in the future.

Maybe he should explain to his kid that there is a virus going round and we are ravaged with injuries?

Firstly the child isn't mine, it's my nephew. Secondly, he's aware of covid, that doesn't stop him balling his eyes out when something he's been looking forward to is cancelled, he's 6 ffs.

Is the international break not available for any premier league games?

England don’t have any friendlies scheduled yet…

Fifa have approved PL games being played during the end of month break

obvs teams with no involvement will be arranged by the PL

i would expect our game against Norwich to be that weekend

What dates is that weekend? Thanks.

I predict that the Everton away game will be played the last weekend in January and the Norwich home game will be played either Tuesday 1st or Wednesday 2nd March.

Maybe we'll play Everton or Spurs on the weekend of the EFL Cup final?

And the one we don't play, we play at end of Jan?

We can't, they've got matches against other sides on that weekend.

Arsenal v Liverpool is scheduled as a league game so the loser of that also has a free weekend and we've no need to switch a match against either of those.

That midweek in March is FA Cup so no go.

Everton won’t be the last weekend in Jan as that is s American internationals  and they have players

it should be Norwich

Fifa have given clearance for games to go ahead apparently?

Also bear in mind that Everton has been selected for Sky tv game, so they will have a major say in when it is played.

Norwich not a tv game so much more flexibility for  a re-arranged date with that

Unless both us and Norwich bomb out in the next round. Norwich will likely lose away at Wolves..
