I'm fully expecting us to win on Saturday, but if we lose and one of Spurs, Norwich or Chelsea (League Cup) also lose, it'd be madness for them not to use 05 February date reserved for the Fourth Round to play one of these games that need (or will need to be) rearranged.

To be fair, this would have been an FA Cup replay so at least they've scrapped those!

Scrap the things that damage the lower clubs the most.

We are getting totally shafted here. I appreciate it's a tricky situation and there aren't loads of chances but it's worked out particularly awfully for us.

I’m fairly confident we’re going to have more games postponed this month though, so don’t think we’ll be playing the 5 games in 15 days, more like 3 or 4.

Geez, How many of the U23s are we gonna see this month, I wonder? I think Rodgers said that since Nelson and McAteer had had so many bench appearances, the PL considers them "available senior players." And I guess they are now...

Guys - we won’t have any games postponed unless we have covid cases. Injuries and non player availability are not a justification afaik. The AFCON element is the wild card here because that’s three squad members that we’ve lost. But we will get no sympathy from spurs or Everton as we called off the original games. 

 

look at Leeds v arsenal a couple weeks back.  Leeds were decimated by injuries but had no covid cases so had to play the game

great idea to cram in the rearranged fixtures while clubs are still recovering from the knock on affects of the covid outbreaks (injuries due to squad depletion, players still regaining full fitness etc)

Injuries and afcon will play a factor. Us v Norwich and soton v Newcastle got called off due to a hybrid of injuries and covid. Likewise Liverpool mentioned afcon in their appeal to her todays game called off. The rule is you need 13 fit outfield players available.
