Afcon only sees Daka bugger off.  Ghana didn't qualify.

Exactly, would be a good move going for him but would still require a striker. I’ll be honest though, a front 4 of Stephy/Monga, Boving and Abdul behind let’s say Ivanovic would be a lot of fun at this level.

Not especially, no, but I don't think I'd be much/any happier with Bamford. I think it would be making a signing for the sake of making a signing and I'm working under the assumption that we still have very little room for manoeuvre financially - a fourth striker for our one striker system, particularly one as unreliable as he has been recently, would not be high on my list of priorities

For me this window will show whether we have genuine ambition to get out of this league this season or not. Sign no one and the club/owners are basically accepting mediocrity for the forseeable....

Nope. Buying endless players is not a recipe for success. (If that is what you meant) and clearing the decks is 100% the right thing to do. 

 

Another year here is not the end of the world. 

FY26 contract baggage will be fine, we will still have parachute payments, etc.
