I reckon he'll either go back Middlesbrough or Wrexham will take him.. fits their mould of ex premier league 'legend' as they'll label him. Either that or off to the states for a few years
EnderbyFox Posted 29 August 2025 Posted 29 August 2025 Peter O'Rourkes plan of linking us with every single player in the championship on the off chance we sign someone, very clever.
cruzFOX Posted 29 August 2025 Posted 29 August 2025 I’m not paying attention unless there is a headline that says player move confirmed it’s gonna get crazy until Monday nite
LestaLad Posted 29 August 2025 Posted 29 August 2025 (edited) Seen a few Huddersfield fans on twitter thinking they’re signing Will Alves. Edited 29 August 2025 by LestaLad

Sankey93 Posted 29 August 2025 Posted 29 August 2025 Hopefully a permanent move so there’s no more debates 😂 500k be enough.

EastAnglianFox Posted 29 August 2025 Posted 29 August 2025 I know he’s not really kicked on since being assaulted but I’d be absolutely gutted if we sold him 1
Jimmy Posted 29 August 2025 Posted 29 August 2025 can't see us selling especially for less than £1m would think a loan until January and reassess
winteriscoming Posted 29 August 2025 Posted 29 August 2025 I don’t want to hear eyeing a move for a player with days left in the window. I want fee and personal terms agreed and players in asap. We are so fvcking slow it’s ridiculous.

Also easy to forget he's still younger than KDH when he went and had his proper breakthrough loan at Luton. Just want to see him play consistently Edited 29 August 2025 by Miquel The Work Geordie 1

(If that is what you meant) and clearing the decks is 100% the right thing to do. Another year here is not the end of the world. FY26 contract baggage will be fine, we will still have parachute payments, etc. Respectfully I disagree. It’s not about buying ‘endless players’, it’s bringing in 2/3 players in key positions where we are criminally weak.
Jazzy_Jeff Posted 29 August 2025 Posted 29 August 2025 We should not be selling Alves. He needs a season playing week in week out to build his fitness. He’s got a big future with us still imo. 4
leicesterlad1989 Posted 29 August 2025 Posted 29 August 2025 Will be a loan. Hes been pushing to get out on loan to play first team football but like last summer, the club have not let him. I know there's been offers here and aboard. Makes you wonder whether we do have someone else lined up if we do let him go. Wishful thinking, I'm sure.

Fair enough, it was a comment on the pure volume of rubbish we find ourselves with. Agree that signing another Kante, Mahrez, Bilal, Fatawu would be great, but the fact we are having to cut out cloth currently, suggests such names are outliers rather than a given, and we should be wary. 1

Lille and Leicester City are both in advanced negotiations with Queens Park Rangers (QPR) over the signing of Algerian striker Rayan Kolli, according to exclusive reports from Africafoot. The 20-year-old forward, who holds Algerian, English, and French nationalities, came through QPR’s academy and has been on Lille’s radar for several months. Leicester City, currently competing in the English Championship, have more recently joined the race to secure his signature. Kolli’s market value is currently estimated at €1.5 million, according to Transfermarkt. He has made a bright start to the new season, scoring on his debut in the EFL Cup and making three appearances in the Championship. 1
