Would be such a backwards signing irregardless of politics. You get a solid championship player on high wages for one season and you lose out on one year of seeing a once in a generation talent play for us.

Correct he also said we don't need to sell now to make signings, not sure if that was post match or in the pre match press conference.  That's about as definitive as he's been, previously he's avoided giving any indication.

 

None of this means anybody will come in, of course.
