Need to go much, much higher than that. They are desperate and if we are to sell now it will be on his future potential.

adam Posted 3 August 2022 Posted 3 August 2022 He's gonna go isn't he. One more bid and he will be away.

I think we would be mad to sell him. His value won't drop if we keep him for another year. We need him this season. Can't go losing our best defender a few days before the start of the season. We will never find anyone as good as him. 2

st albans fox Posted 3 August 2022 Posted 3 August 2022 Assuming the French press have an inside line on this - annoying that they’ve actually made a bid. You’d have hoped we would have communicated to them not to bother wasting everyone’s time …

ARM1968 Posted 3 August 2022 Posted 3 August 2022 If they’ve gone to £62 million, they’ll go at least to £75 million and possibly £80. Might be time to say goodbye.
sylofox Posted 3 August 2022 Posted 3 August 2022 At this rate we could be the richest club ever relegated 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 1

I would love to see his potential this season, but the reality is he is replaceable (not to the same standard) and he alone won’t solve any defensive woes we have. I’d sooner lose Wes than Madders. 85 mil is a fee that doesn’t come around often, and another injury could change that quite quickly. 3

splinterdream Posted 3 August 2022 Posted 3 August 2022 Next season he will be even more popular, I hope we have told him you're not going this season. We will look for replacement next season and you're free to talk to other clubs. 1
GingerrrFox Posted 3 August 2022 Posted 3 August 2022 He’s not for sale this window. Brendan has already said he’s not for sale, he’s contracted to 2027 and his value isn’t decreasing. He will most likely go next summer but not now. 3
