I could have sworn Eppiah played for Northampton this weekend?

That was last season, he was on loan there from Jan to the end of the season.

I am talking more about the cost that than squad places and why the club wants some out before they get some in.

That’s a way bigger issue - we could end up with a squad of 22 without the kids being counted

This is how I feel most of the time.

It would be great to have a thread in the transfer section with just new developments on players posted no conversation no back and forth no trawling through pages and pages of geordies arguing or people slagging brendan just any new developments in one place.

Locked, pinned thread with just the facts against all transfers.. then you have separate ones to talk about it.

I thought the phased rules came in from 2023? Even so if we want to comply essentially we are buggered and can't compete financially in the slightest? Those drops make being competitive unsustainable.

Didn't realise it worked like that? I thought if you paid 18m up front you pay it up front and it comes straight out the accounts for the year. Must be some wizardry going on to get that spread across the accounts.

Exactly what certain clubs want.

Chelsea are willing to offer Leicester defender Wesley Fofana more than £200,000-a-week to join, should the Foxes agree to sell centre-back to Stamford Bridge club

Considering than playing flops likeTimo Werner and afew others near enough 279k aweek, they should be pay Wes 300k aweek if they get him

Why accept a new deal with a massive payrise if you plan on leaving a few months later.

On his old one chelsea might have offered him what is current contract is worth. Now they are going to have to beat it. So 2 big pay rises in 6 months.

That's why he would sign a contract knowing he is going.

hes gone. 100% be daft not to accept 200k a week if true, we offer nothing for him.

Seagrave - easy answer

You would imagine the ladies could train at Seagrave? Selling Belvoir Drive would surely bring in a packet. Not sure how the locals would see it as I assume the site would be bought for housing development

We need to accept a bid before he accepts that.

Is this not by definition an attempt to tap up the player. Happens all the time and the Premier League has no spine to enforce it.

Student Housing hopefully, there isn't enough of that in Leicester

As others have suggested, this is textbook tapping up a player.

If they can afford that wage for a young player then they can afford £100m for him can’t they.

Anyone know whats happened to George Hirst? Hasnt featured at all in pre season and not heard anything about an outgoing?

Ipswich and Portsmouth are fighting it out over him, we want £2m and neither of them want to pay it.

Ipswich will buy but not for that figure

Portsmouth want him back on loan.

Will probably end up going somewhere like Blackburn

Can you just imagine the scandals that would likely come out of that move. Putting the Women in Seagrave with the Men. All fit and virile.
