Underwhelming signings that you were wrong about

Occasionally even us brain boxes get things wrong...so come on, which signings were you underwhelmed by that turned out to good for us?

 

I'll start us off with Wes Morgan. Seemed like a really lazy signing and thought he'd be nothing more than a plodder for us. Goes on to captain us winning the championship and premier league

Esteban Cambiasso - Wasn't here long, but his successful international experience presence in the team was a much-needed boost to a great side.

 

Kasper Schmeichel - Really thought he'd be just average, but he's been instrumental and influenciental.

Danny Simpson is the answer here. Nobody saw that working out, everybody had something to say regarding his personal life, including me.
 

Went down in history as a legendary fullback for us and hardly ever let us down. Changed my opinion on him massively, one of my favourites from the title winning side.

Ngolo Kante, mainly as I had no idea who he was and hadn't even heard of him. Turned out he was the best box to box midfielder in the world

Mental that it took him 4/5 games to start featuring regularly. 
 

Have to pinch myself sometimes that he played for us, an absolutely outrageous player.
