Sounded like a proper away end roar when Wes’ header went in.

Absolutely gutted I missed that now. So nervy at the end but so glad we didn’t have var and we held out. Thought vestergaard was okay when he came on. Little Wes hasn’t lost it. What a result. We’re on our way

Positives.

We're through.

KDH and Amartey were outstanding.

Fofana unscathed and stood up like a leader.

Negatives.

Tielemans was yet again a complete disgrace.

Justin was yet again shocking defensively, every goal came down his side.

We looked very good for 20 minutes in the second half...But was average at best for the rest.

I didn’t realise it was an early kickoff.

You'll live 2 hours longer than the rest of us.

How good was it not having VAR.

It’s so good not having to wait, yes but imagine the vestergaard hand on the floor was given as a pen?  Then the var can’t over turn it …..

I guess we’d all be happy if all decisions were instant but var just destroys the moment ……..

Yes. Good ref. He used the good old common sense. Much rather this than the endless VAR checks which would have definitely given one of those a penalty.

Unless it would have been us on the wrong end of the decisions?

Then you’d have been shouting for VAR I suspect

Fair play at the end, some huge blocks and saves somehow kept them out.

Fofana, Schmeichel, Amartey superb and shout out to Vestergaard

Huge fan of Justin but he really needs to start switching on defensively, got caught out time and time again, has cost us 3 or 4 goals since coming back in.

No doubt with biased lens on. But objectively 😎 I think the ref was indeed fair and reasonable.

That's the thing, nobody can have any real appeal over those decisions. Gaurantee that VAR would have given that last handball call just to look important and make drama.

My only fear is that a marginally better side beat us on the basis of tonight. Happy to be proven wrong.

Up the city.

Depends what team we can put out
