Speaking as a member of UFS and a father. I want so badly for these sections to be there for my lads to enjoy and many other younger Leicester fans. So this idea that is is only done for a narrow minded group of supporters is just not true.

There's enough room for everyone and respect that different supporters prefer different things and enjoy their match days in different ways. Belonging to any of those groups doesn’t make anyone more or less a true supporter or less committed.

The only real way I can see changes occurring are via the FCC forum.

However in order for that to happen we need at least one very intelligent skilled diplomat who isn't afraid to challenge the hierarchy at the meetings in a constructive way. I do think the clubs representatives at these meetings would listen if said person could command their respect as I get the impression from those that have attended past meetings and posted on here that the club at times see themselves above the attendees, and that sometimes feedback from attendees isn't conveyed as well as what it could be.

If someone could articulate feedback in a way that doesn't come across as demanding or aggressive, with a good degree of logic whilst framing the idea as being in the best interests of the club (particularly commercially) then I see no reason why they would not be receptive.

Sounds like you're the man for the job Ian, very well argued post 👍

Sadly very low. Last year for example UFS attempted to get more bodies in, in that wedge there was 3 tickets in total.

One of the big issues with the current spot is there is no room for growth.

Yeah P seems to be the only place where space may allow growth. Especially as P and P1 are no longer "family stand" blocks

Would you be happy if they moved your seat and you couldn't sit near the people you've always sat with?

If it improved the atmosphere and the support the team gets then I wouldn't give two shits.

It's a plastic seat in a big bowl with identical view seats everywhere.

Oh the sacrifices we make in this struggle of a life

Let's just swap the kop with the family stand then.

It will never be put in P and P1. Tbh the club would not even laugh at it as a suggestion. Straight into file 13 (the bin)

That’s a good idea, can’t believe nobody has suggested that before

I think this is largely my point it might seem like that to people making an assumption but the idea that the club don't want to make the atmosphere better is just completely unfounded.

I think it would help them to make public (what they can), the limitations they face. It might help some people understand their actions more. I know I'd benefit from seeing the club clearly explain why it's not possible for them to allow another singing section v PSV at home. At least then if there are disagreements, people know what they're arguing against :D

Also @Union FS -  would be good if the bg of that poster could be made a touch darker, the white text on light parts of the background are murder on my eyes lol

Our club must be one of the most unsupportive when it comes a singing section.

If only we had the space where you could all relocate to without having to beg the club or jump through hoops.

You must feel like your banging your heads against a brickwall at times.

I truly do believe the only way to get their attention is to have a game without UFS. Hopefully the players will notice the flat atmosphere when their is no singing section.

....this is all becoming a them versus us situation...someone is going to lose this argument and it will not be the club!!!

I take it you don t sit near the front them . No chance of being hit on head by clappers thrown from the back . Ridiculous idea

Well I wasn't advocating throwing the clappers from the back with the potential of injuring fellow supporters. My thoughts were a staged walkout to the concourse midway through the 1st half and throwing the clappers to pitchside from the lower front steps on the way down to the concourse gantry exit. Ridiculous idea to you but would make an impact IMO.

They’ve made it worse for themselves as they’ll have people in SK1 standing in front of people who normally sit there now. How easily it could’ve been avoided…

Eh don't worry they've got the Showsec mob for that.

That is exactly what it is unfortunately.

Even though i do not consider myself a member of the UFS group i will fully support any fan or group who attempts to improve the match day atmosphere at the ground.

It's a shame the club could not be more supportive.

It has been obvious to me for many years now that the hierarchy want to control the match day atmosphere hence the overly loud music being blared out and clappers etc on a weekly basis.

Why they show so much resistance to a group of fans trying to improve things continues to baffle me.

I still strongly feel that this singing section problem as well as all the other atmosphere issues need to be raised directly to Top himself somehow. Whether that be by numerous emails, (possibly templated by UFS) should someone somehow have access to his email address.

That or a letter written to him by UFS. And handed to him personally at a game sometime soon. The letter would have to include all issues obviously whilst also stating the means already tried and then rejected by middle LCFC management.

State the general feeling of a lot of fans who are now considering jacking it all in after becoming disenchanted with it

I’d guess Top would be horrified at the thought of such unrest amongst the ranks, and would at least strive to look in to it

Middle management may well not give a flying fcuk, but I’m pretty sure Top will.

This post is bound to get some 😂 reps but it’s deadly serious.

Boycotting a game won’t achieve a thing.

Jacking your ST in will not bother middle management in the slightest- they’ll just replace you with the type of sanitised fan they’re supposedly after.

You’re clearly getting nowhere consistently with the huge efforts you currently put in to improving the atmosphere, but now is the time to take it to the top. No pun intended.

Whilst I always take quotes from our club about how amazing our fans are and how valued we all are with a pinch of salt, I reckon the one person who does actually care is Top himself. And he’s also one with the final say.

For all we know, the management could be given free reign on what happens on match day and Top assumes this sanitised home atmosphere is precisely what the fans are happy with.

At the end of the day, to my knowledge, no-ones tried this route yet. He’s the one in charge. Do what it takes to get through to him, as nothing else is working at all.

🤷🏻‍♂️

Can’t disagree. If you want something done cut out the middle man

I don’t believe anyone can say they’ve tried everything when they’ve not yet tried the most obvious and most important person.

I think the only issue with it is any semblance of a relationship built with middle management goes out the window once you go over their heads. If Top doesn’t work basically screwed going forward
