The older fans are the reason we're all here right??

My first game Swindon 93 I was crying my eyes out at full time. I was 10. An elderly gentleman no idea who he was gave me his Leicester Rosette and said something kind, that was the first Leicester thing I had that was just mine. It went up on my bedroom wall at home and I can remember I had a massive Cantona poster on other wall that was looking right at it, that bothered the 10year old me so got rid of Cantona and surrounded the rosette with pictures of joachim and Draper out of the Mercury and Shoot magazine.

I'd be a man United supporter if it wasn't for that old man.

Joachim got sent off in that game, I seem to remember. Great away following in those days. Probably the older people that idiots on here moan about.

It was this game, maybe it was 94 playoffs.

Well ropey decision from the ref, think Joach maybe threw a combo tho.

Yes, great idea. Upset the guy whose family have bankrolled us for a decade and whose father died leaving the ground he loved just because you don’t like clappers.

That’ll work.

Upset him? He's a busy man and has only been at the games 3 or 4 times this season. He probably won't even be there to be "upset". Also, the booing at the end of Puel's reign matched with the drop off in ticket sales "upset" him enough that he fired the guy.

If fans are upset, he's just the person to put it right because he's genuinely bothered by our opinion / willingness to spend.

Just a note on the idea of throwing the clappers pitchside...speaking as someone that's been hit square on the head by the bloody things being thrown from the back of the stand on several occasions, gathering them up and chucking them pitchside would be better than getting a few hundred to hurl them. Not sure people sitting in rows A-D will be supportive of any idea that gets them hit by a clapper thrown schoolgirl-esque rounders-style from the back of SK1

The Double Deckers were accustomed to a behind the goal view so most wanted something similar in the new place. As the North Stand was families only, the new South Stand was the only choice. However, most of those must've moved on by now so there can't be many of the Flask Mob left. I've not been in the SK's since the UCL so lost touch with the demographic.

Did you take your flask with you.

So far down the rabbit hole of free 20p T-shirts, sponsored doughnuts and expiring beer cans it’s untrue.

Exactly because what we really want are owners who just stuff the fans. Some people are spectacularly ungrateful. Through the T shirt away if you like but appreciate the gesture.

Sorry to disappoint but I don't actually own one. You could say that I'm one of the oldies (at 63) but then I moved around to the corner a few seasons ago as I recognised that I was no longer adding to the 'Kop' atmosphere. Hope that's OK.

It was said as a joke.

Nice gestures but does not mean everything else the club does should also be accepted. It’s like saying my Mrs cooks me dinner every day so she can shag who she likes too.

Can't believe people are seriously thinking about protesting about a singing section? If you want to protst the best way you can do so is with your feet, and not turn up!

6,300 tickets still for sale and that's from our support. That means only 23,000 Leicester fans have bought tickets so far for a European ¼ final. Really hope this improves especially as PSV sold out their home game in 2 days.

It's selling much better than either of the previous knockout games.

I imagine a lot of people waiting for pay day

Only went on general sale yesterday so will no doubt be sold out at some point this week. What it does show is that a decent portion of current STH are just people who latched on after maybe the promotion season and then got seriously lucky with what they witnessed - probably don't want to give season ticket up now but do not want to fork out more money for conference league games.

Despite the club being difficult in blocking the singing section, the atmosphere for this should be good still. SK1, L1 and even M1 near the away end will have numbers.

Is it the club being difficult or is it challenges with fellow fans not wanting to give up the option on their seats?

Clubs call. If they say there is a section there is a section - those in the area can move or they can stay and may even enjoy it.

So in answer to the question club is making it difficult for themselves by changing it game to game

Quite a simplistic take given the club may have received several complaints from loyal customers in the two previous games.

If enough complain in support of having an area and complain about its absence we'd likely see the other way

Clubs decision at the end of the day. Fans will moan whatever happens, section or no section. We all know what circumstance will produce a better atmosphere and spur the team on more though.

I thought for European games season ticket holders didn’t have their seats guaranteed? Therefore there isn’t really an argument for fans moaning about not having their usual seat.

Especially for a competition we were never even in to start with.
