So someone is dishing out a discount code that is meant for a specific organisation?

LCFC PSV Eindhoven (UEFA Europa League Conference) Outreach Offer 50% off

I don't know the ins and outs of business and legal stuff but because we've already bought tickets they don't have to refund us the difference do they?

Absolute joke though.

I could get my £30 (actually, £31.50) back and buy on general for £15.00 lol

Of course they don't

This is clearly meant for a specific group of people.

This maybe what it is because it's not been advertised has it

There has to be a reasonable explanation as to why the club would screw over every fan who's paid full whack for this already...

@Chocolate Teapot you must have something...

Doesn’t look like this was something meant to go out to the public, perhaps just an offer for a specific org— this really doesn’t seem like anyone’s out there trying to take this piss out of people who have already bought tickets.

It’s pretty simple they’re not shifting tickets like they thought, mainly due to the price that imo is a bit much.

Best advice I ever got was 'Never pay full retail'. If I see a pair of trainers I like, I wait 3 or so months and they are on sale. Since the club sees us as customers the same applies here.

It was bound to happen with the high price point, take advantage of the fans keen to secure a seat and then wait until things die down and put a sale on.

I think there is a real case of people getting their knickers in a right old twist without having any facts.

It is very clearly something related to the outreach side of the club.

Anyone who thinks that clubs like Macclesfield are important to the community they exist in but Leicester City aren't need to have a word with themselves. This is Community outreach.

But even if they're doing it on the sly or as a result of slow ticket sales, it's a slap in the face to those who go every game. Whether intentional or not.

Is it? Even if the club offered a few half-price tickets to a youth team? Or perhaps an org for underprivileged kids?

Should be advertised as that when releasing tickets then? Could be a ploy to get tickets shifted for all we know.

The offer has also been there for the games in the last couple of rounds. It’s supposed to be for a specific group, but clearly no way of policing it. I expect more outrage this time given the higher pricing.

if it was something that surely it would be done directly with the organisation? They wouldn't just put a discount code out where you can purchase tickets anywhere in the ground.

It would just be for a specific block.

In this instance, yes. PSV-COOL is a discount seemingly used through Cool As Leicester for increased outreach.

LCFC in the Community do some great work with Schools, Youth Teams & Underprivileged kids so the 'whataboutery' you're suggesting isn't relevant. Especially when the typical fan is experiencing ridiculous increases in their costs of living.

well there is a way of policing it. Like they used to with the kids teams that did the flag waving at the start of the games. That specific club got X amount of tickets.

It shouldn't though, this isn't clothing or a supermarket BOGOF, it's an event where loyal customers have paid a higher price for something that should be a single price point. To discount that price to certain groups after the original price has been set is simply bad business practice.
