Should be advertised as that when releasing tickets then? Could be a ploy to get tickets shifted for all we know.

I think you should try being less cynical, life is more fun.

well there is a way of policing it. Like they used to with the kids teams that did the flag waving at the start of the games. That specific club got X amount of tickets.

Sorry, I meant the way they have done it they’re unable to police it as the code works for all. Agree with you that the promotion should have been limited to X amount of tickets.

Clubs call. If they say there is a section there is a section - those in the area can move or they can stay and may even enjoy it.

So in answer to the question club is making it difficult for themselves by changing it game to game

...I am assuming that when the season ticket was purchased it had a seat number on it!!!

As a contract with the club you are entitled to have that seat available to you on every home matchday for the league program.

The club has no right to break that contract unless the owner of the seat has committed an act, which has warranted his expulsion from the ground and in turn has led to the revocation of his contract.

You cannot on a whim break a contract. If people do not want to move, they shouldn't have to, and they should not be subjected to an environment that forces them to attempt to relocate, as it would be tantamount to constructive dismissal.

It shouldn't though, this isn't clothing or a supermarket BOGOF, it's an event where loyal customers have paid a higher price for something that should be a single price point. To discount that price to certain groups after the original price has been set is simply bad business practice.

I'm not defending it but it is how modern clubs see fans. We are nothing more than customers.

Its not bad business practice though its quite clever, you can count on a good chunk of the loyal core customers to buy at the initial raised price point and when things slow down target the more casual customer with a discount.

Morally its awful but the club need to claw back the covid losses one way or another.

In this instance, yes. PSV-COOL is a discount seemingly used through Cool As Leicester for increased outreach.

LCFC in the Community do some great work with Schools, Youth Teams & Underprivileged kids so the 'whataboutery' you're suggesting isn't relevant. Especially when the typical fan is experiencing ridiculous increases in their costs of living.

This is the first time in the discussion that connection to the discount code was mentioned.

Even so, it’s meant to be a limited offer that only has the chance to pop up during a small selection of games.

Unfair? Perhaps. Not sure if it’s a slap in the face but it’s not my place to tell anyone else how to feel.

That's it i guess, individuals will react and feel differently but nonetheless it's wrong

Doesn’t look like this was something meant to go out to the public, perhaps just an offer for a specific org— this really doesn’t seem like anyone’s out there trying to take this piss out of people who have already bought tickets.

I'm only being facetious matey

You do realise it isn't a league game don't you?

How is it being cynical?

Full price for someone that comes every week and half price for those who don't come.

Loyalty works both ways..

£25 was always too much anyway but that's another point.

Doesn't work for me, I assume they have made a mistake and now fix it.

Or I'm being stupid

Now this is outrageous that the PSV-COOL discount code isn’t working for a coolhandfox.

Point 18 of the clubs Season Ticket Regulations "Nothing in these Season Ticket Terms and Conditions shall constitute or imply any entitlement to occupy the seat indicated on the Season Ticket"

....that is an incomplete section of the "Terms and Condition" and refers to subsequent (ie for the next season) entitlement to use the same seat!!!

A better and more salient Term is:

16. A Season Ticket admits the bearer to occupy their seat indicated on the Season Ticket at the relevant Match consisting of The FA Premier League/English Football League First Team home league matches played by the Club at the Stadium for the 2021/22 season only. All other cup or friendly matches or any other matches in which the Club is involved in and/or participates in and/or any other events held at the Stadium are excluded from a Season Ticket, unless announced and/or communicated to you by the Club in advance.

You're either a staunch backer of everything the club does or you are one of the people in the block who is actively looking to block things but either way your point is irrelevant. This is not a premier league game.

Thanks for clarifying you don't have your seat for cup games then.

But there are numerous clauses allowing them to move your seat anyway

I think there is a real case of people getting their knickers in a right old twist without having any facts.

It is very clearly something related to the outreach side of the club.

Anyone who thinks that clubs like Macclesfield are important to the community they exist in but Leicester City aren't need to have a word with themselves. This is Community outreach.

Excuse the scepticism, most clubs would publicise a scheme and take the applauds with it. It's corporate social responsibility 101.

Am I giving them too much credit by assuming it was just a code shared with, for example, a local charity for young people they support to attend cheaper? Then someone has just leaked it?

Perhaps. But if they were genuinely trying to shift some more tickets by discount, they'd have properly advertised it.

It'd be in their best interests to publicise what it was for because at the moment the reputation is only going one way.
