Good we need to send a clear message that this behaviour is unacceptable and the consequences are real, the terrified children in the videos I saw will not be able to forget those scenes easily !

football is a sport not a Means to commit acts of violence on innocent people

those people shamed us all

If they was children present why do the forest fans in the pub throw bottles at leicester walking past? I know for a fact had that not happened then this thread wouldnt be here. A so called family pub they say. I have seen 99% of the videos that day and not seen one child or heard one crying.

Innocent people?? You mean the innocent forest fans who came out the pub and chucked bottles at leicester fans walking past. They dont come out and act hard the leicester fans walk past and no trouble

I'll put this into Google translate.

Google translate is very literal, fails to understand abstract concepts or nuance but tends to give an opinion regardless

Its anti social behaviour and should be clamped down upon in my opinion, shameful behaviour.

Yes it should be so should the same behaviour outside of football and there's a clear disparity with the sentencing of both.

Shame the OB couldn’t dedicate this level of resource and dedication into catching nonces.

Doubt it takes much dedication identifying and picking up half this lot, what a weird comparison to make.

Burglars then. @TamworthFoxes has a point.

I wonder how the resource the police throw if  I went to the desk to complain I'd been punched in a nightclub. I can hear the disinterest from a mile off. Do the same at a match, and they are all over it.

Strange world we live in.

So rather then be critical of the yobs, you choose to be critical of the police for doing their jobs.

I think its fair for society to call for those who are supposed to protect us to better serve the public. They may argue they aren't given the resources in which to do so and that's why it's then irksome when you consider lesser crimes are stamped down upon far more than other stuff that the police seem I'll equipped or unable to deal with.

Those that commit crimes get little sympathy but we can't necessarily control that.

Those who engage in this disorder are an embarrassment, but I understand the comparisons. My house was burgled a few years ago. Family heirlooms were stolen that were over 100 years old, found the supposed burglar’s jacket in the garden. DNA match with person with previous, police didn’t want to take it further because they didn’t have the resources.

I don’t disagree with this but I would *imagine* that it’s all about publicity. Of course you can debate whether it’s right or wrong, however, unfortunately, a local burglary will never receive the same press as football disorder. I know that this isn’t particularly fair, but it’s a fact.

In this case, the situation was clear. Essentially, you had a handful of the low-life in society running a mockery in Nottingham, terrorising families and generally doing completely daft things.

This obviously led to high media engagement, so the temptation amongst the police is to show these people up through ‘tough’ sentences.
