This still doesn’t make sense to me.

Surely this wasn’t random targeting of family restaurants as the Twitter outraged are making it out to be?! Like it just doesn’t really work like that these days and one thing about football violence in this country vs others is that if you’re not looking for it then it generally won’t find you.

Who was in those bars that were targeted? And why were they in family ones if they were the type to typically be involved in this sort of thing? Or was it just indiscriminate targeting?

The thing that amazed me most as someone who was in Nottingham from about 12pm that day was that they managed to do this to two places. I’ve genuinely never seen so many police at a UK football game in 25 years of going!

Yeah weird one. Main Forest pubs are further into the centre or around the embankment area.

Walked past it and clocked straight away. Then found out two of the lads I was with had been in there for a pint before meeting us by the canal. lol

Decent number of lads inside it, regardless of the bollocks that gets spouted.

Previous reports suggested they'd been turned away from the Fat Cat bar so decided to attack it, and probably didn't have a clue who was inside.

I am just not having it, a few lads wearing black jackets does not prove that it is a hardcore Forest pub. I am pretty sure their lot all drink in the Embankment.

It was quite evident that this was a few lads flat-track bullying. I am certain that most would have ran a mile if anybody had actually come outside. Constantly lobbing chairs when evidently, nobody wants a fight is so embarrassing.

Yeh I forgot to mention his new hairline business

Probably sticks the fluff from all the hoovers onto the poor victims head

Edit- I misread that. I had no idea he had a new venture 😂😂

I came home one day to find him looking at the house available to rent 2 doors down from me. Luckily I do work for the landlord and landlady and so was able to warn them off. I didn’t want that cnut living on my estate

I walked past Cross Keys that day, on my way into the City, and it was packed. Inside and outside. At the time I wasn't sure if they were Forest or Leicester.

Yeah, but surely it is well documented that it isn’t where the Forest hardcore drink. They were in the wrong part of the city, their lot are always by the river, not the city centre.

Besides, packed or not, it was clear that nobody was up for it. So why continue to lob chairs? It has clearly cost somebody a load to fix and I know for a fact that Fat Cats is still boarded up.

Not saying it is what happened but how do you know those in the pub weren't game and then hid inside?
