Positives are we really matched their effort, which is what blew Arsenal out of the water last week. If only we could be this energetic and brave against most teams in the league.

 

Fairly equal half I thought. We've not really created a great deal, with our best chances coming on the turnover. 2 individual bits of real quality have seen us take a fairly equal half and go in 2-0 up. Reminds me a lot of how we played under Brendan in his first season. Pressing high and chances being created from the other team making errors.

 

The only reason KDH doesn't make the England world cup squad at this point is because Southgate is an idiot. The lad never puts in a sub par performance, he lifts the performance levels of the whole team and is always looking to make things happen. He really is the benchmark for what a midfielder should be.

Palace just don’t seem With it today. So many mistakes. We are in danger of getting more goals so expecting some defensive subs any minute now…

I’ve definitely seen penalties given for less contact than that. He’s right anywhere else on the pitch it’s a free kick.

Tell you what, one side is playing hard (and smart), while the side with the manager getting the plaudits is on the beach.  Good on Rodgers.
