I say this about the cinema, do they leave early to beat the traffic out of Meridian o to the outer ring, mongies can’t answer that one.

I heard someone say they had to go to feed the rabbit, feed the rabbit?

What an utter twat, it’s a wild animal that has no concept of time and who the feck feeds a rabbit at 4pm on a Sunday, just feck off you mongy and never come back, let a supporter who  will support the boys to the final whistle have your seat.

Probably one of the 7000 new STH after we got  promoted in 2014 that all of a sudden had the time, money and no other commitments to attend all home games whereas for the decade or more before they’d always string out an excuse why they couldn’t go, hence 10,000 empty seats every home game.

Maybe it was a euphemism. Did he have a fit horny bird and a Carrot shaped Willy?

Think HPF is on the right track here.

Leaving at any point itself is not an issue, the reason or lack of doesn't matter in the slightest.

Being a selfish knob by standing in front of people for ages while you say bye and try and watch the game as you leave, is affecting others. If you want to leave, then slink out as quickly as possible so everyone who wants to stay can actually watch the game.

If we are really being fussy, the actual etiquette is to wait for an injury or natural lull and scurry off asap during that pause.

But nope, these fckers don't understand manners or etiquette or culture. I have the right to watch Strictly/antiques roadshow / news....and I shall exercise it!

I really dont get leaving early at football matches, if you had tickets for a concert would you leave with 2 songs to go 🤭 but hey, each to their own i suppose. I dont get the fascination in leaving early personally, they flood out at West ham too it aint just the KP.

Did people leave games ridiculously early like they do now in the 60s, 70s and 80s?! A lot less so I think!

I agree with you but you do actually see loads of people leave concerts with a couple of songs to go.

Anyone who says they leave early to beat the traffic needs to find somewhere else to park. I leave on full time, 15 mins walk to the car, clear roads up to Groby Road via New Parks, then onto the M1.

35 miles to home and always back between 6:15 - 6:30pm at the latest for a 3pm kickoff.

If people are getting stuck in traffic why  keep parking in the same place and taking the same route?!

The London Stadium is half empty and West ham are winning.

Only leave early from the KP?

Was there today as a neutral- everyone left in the 80/85th minute. Most likely to avoid the queues at Stratford station but it’s sadly not just an us problem. It’s a wider football problem but we are particularly bad.

Yes especially at shitty venues like the O2 in Leicester where a thousand and half people have to exit through 1 tiny fire escape so your stood around for 30 mins and by the time you get out all the Ubers into town are gone.

A better example would have been the cinema you don't see people leaving before the last couple of scenes.

I went to see 'we will rock you' a few years ago. There is a well known encore, but loads of people around us disappeared before this. Brian May turned up to do the solos. Not as good as seeing Vardy score but still a decent moment.

Weird to leave early.

I’ve walked out of a Ned’s Atomic Dustbin gig. Still don’t regret it.

I never have and never would leave a game early - which is simply my preference.

Even if we get a tonking, I feel the need to see it through to the end as to me that’s what supporting your club is. If the games tight, it could be the support that gets the team over the line - the 12th man as they say.

Nothing against those who leave early, I could just never do it

which is how it should be, its like some are trying to play the "im a better fan than you card etc"

but as ive said before, wonder how many go down to the concourse before HT or even arrive at the games late

its a pretty petty thing imo

Where do you park, would be good to know. Thanks

When was the last time you seen 32k people leaving the cinema at the same time? Probably not the best example.

But the people that stay until the end are better fans than the ones that routinely leave early, thats the point. They're prepared to commit more time and energy to supporting the club, and willing to accept a slightly longer and later journey home. Same way that someone who goes home and away is a better fan than someone to goes to one home game a year. Support is quantifiable.

Number of games attended is very much dependent on where you live, how much money you have, and how many priority points you have. I would argue that many of those leaving early are precisely the ones that go to every home game and most away games.

The club should incentivise/reward fans for staying behind every game using a loyalty point scheme. Something like that could work if there was a way to successfully enforce it.

Don't.

The silly b@stards will be getting people to swipe their phone as they leave and claim it's for the environment.
