beepee1984 Posted 20 May 2023 Posted 20 May 2023 Everton may have drew, but at this point of the season with just 2 games to go, being 3 points behind is practically the same as being 2 points behind (highly unlikely we would have drew both our matches and Everton lost to Bournemouth) - we need a win. Newcastle have something to play for against us... that means they can still bottle it. I can find hope in the fact Everton & Newcastle can fluff their lines, however I find it harder to hope we are capable of stepping up.

No it doesn’t, if we can win two games. Everton had to win, our goal difference is an extra point if we can get our noses in front. Plus, Everton without DCL are struggling. They’ve got a point today following 90 minutes of added time and it looked very much like Wolves took their off the game. Still football left to be played. A draw isn’t a bad result for us. 1

We don’t deserve anything else but relegation. It would be poor for us to stay up. There does seem to be a proportion of our 'fan base' who want us to get relegated....

Mickyblueeyes Posted 20 May 2023 Posted 20 May 2023 . Dwight McNeil played left back today and showed more heart than any of our players have shown in their actual positions. It doesn’t matter what anyone else does, we will not get another point this season. Fat boy Tielemans will wave his hands around smiling, Maddison will take on their entire team and Ndidi will have a brain fart at least twice.
shailen Posted 20 May 2023 Posted 20 May 2023 That goal changes nothing for us. We need to win on Monday and match Everton's result next week. It would have been the same even if they lost. 1

Tuna Posted 20 May 2023 Posted 20 May 2023 We can sugar coat it all we want but those two late goals are disastrous for us in the context of our season. 2

I'm used to watching incompetent football this season and LCFC's predicament is 100% our own, but ffs Yeah it was shit keeping. Shame as he'd done well up until then.

Yes it does. As mentioned by several posters since my original post, it now requires us to get something at Newcastle to ensure Everton need to win to ensure survival, rather than draw.

How on earth can Spurs not making Europe soften the blow of relegation? Sure that makes things even more embarrassing for us? We’ve won more than spurs recently, and no matter how shit they are we are the ones going down? I dont follow your argument so because we have one FA cup 2 years ago and the PL 7 years ago we dont deserve to go down? Have you had your head up your arse all season? Regardless of what we have won "recently" we are now SHIT and yes even more shit than Tottenham you just need a quick check of the table to see that.

I don’t think that is even a thing. No one wants Leicester to get relegated and repeatedly checks other teams results or spends Saturday ok a non-match day commenting on a forum. The realism is, we just don’t have the quality, application or desire to be here. Well the team doesn’t. Fans certainly do.

cruzFOX Posted 20 May 2023 Posted 20 May 2023 Wolves keeper got possessed by Danny ward in that last play! Absolute bollox. they did so well up until then. Tbh wolves should have finished off atleast 5 of the chances previously. Pure buggery by everton but that’s what they do. 1

Pliskin Posted 20 May 2023 Posted 20 May 2023 Well all you lot are miserable ****ers. I’m calling it. We’re staying up on goal difference. We will beat Newcastle on Monday night, and Dyche will be left moaning about how it isn’t fair we have Vardy. 1

It would have been the same even if they lost. A point on Monday (which will suit Newcastle) and a win against WH would be enough as long as Forest lose both games. It's not going to happen, we all know we are down. Edited 20 May 2023 by Scotch
