Guest Col city fan Posted 4 February 2023 Posted 4 February 2023 I thought that Shite McNeil would be a decent signing for Everton. I was wrong 😉

The snob culture towards him is unfair.  I would rather a hard working team that picks up points with limited possession than the shite we are putting up with week in week out.  Everton will now be much better equipped than us for the relegation battle. Sample size is way too small to come to any conclusions re: Everton under Dyche yet imho, as know new manager bounce is a thing
Popular Post An Sionnach Posted 4 February 2023 Popular Post Posted 4 February 2023 There are some real football snobs on here. We are never going anywhere trying to play stylish , pretty football ( not that we are much good at it mind you) , we are going to have to find a mean, aggressive streak from somewhere or its curtains for this era of LCFC. 2 3

That is a lot of conclusion on pretty much no evidence, just asking to not draw a conclusion on one game is all.Â

I forget the source, but there is evidence for it.  However, in certain instances it is obviously a thing and there have been many examples in the prem in the last decade. IMO it depends on whether or not the issue is with the playing staff or the coach. When the coach is the problem, a new coach should logically give you a lift. But frequently coaches take the blame and pay the price for issues that really lie with the playing staff/whoever signed them.  After a few years of even a good and successful coach often a new voice is often needed, becomes stale. Edited 4 February 2023 by FoxesWalk 1

SouthStandUpperTier Posted 4 February 2023 Posted 4 February 2023 McNeil to Tarkowski under Dyche's stewardship. The Burnley Connection.
TMELcfc Posted 4 February 2023 Posted 4 February 2023 As soon as they announced Dyche, I knew they'd turn it around. Early days, but straight away, they are so much more organised. Them annoucning Bielsa would've been better for us, as they would have still been expansive and conceeded goals. Under Dyche, they won't. 4
RowlattsFox Posted 4 February 2023 Posted 4 February 2023 Everton will do well for a bit, fans celebrate a winning team but then they'll decide they deserve better football and start all over again.  Â
Guest nathan. Posted 4 February 2023 Posted 4 February 2023 Everton are making Arsenal look very average.
Guest Col city fan Posted 4 February 2023 Posted 4 February 2023 Not good for the relegation battle this. Cmon the Arsenal (Christ, did I really just say that)!
