How can someone not have had a quiet word with Ruud and tell him that playing Ward is a recipe for disaster?

 

1. He's not good enough 

2. He's a mistake away from the whole stadium turning on him.

 

After reflecting on yesterday, I find it inexcusable really how he was allowed to start. It shows a distinct lack of attention to detail, I mean it's not even small detail - surely he could hear the Leicester fans at Newcastle taking the piss out of him and it should have been obvious starting him was going to be a red flag to a bull. 

 

It really is concerning that there seems a disconnect from the coaches and hierarchy at the club. They seem on a different planet.

Think the chap is shot, however good he might look in training he suffers from  stagefright/the yips or whatever you want to call it and just does not perfrorm. Probably saves all three of their goals in training

It's more of a threat than you can play whenever the first choice isn't playing. He should be made to rot. 

 

Admittedly the club don't hold many cards, but statistically in these 2 games he's played you could genuinely make a case for a fat bloke in SK1 playing just as well. After 10 pints.

I have to disagree with this... A fat bloke saves that 3rd goal.

I've watched back that third goal many times.  I still can't understand how he doesn't save it at that angle.  Ridiculous.

The ultimate decision to save money by letting Kasper go on the assumption Ward was good has ironically cost us probably at least 100x more than Kasper’s wages for that one season would’ve. One of the most horrendous decisions in club history?

I cannot recall ever seeing a lower rating for a player in a game. Ward is setting all kinds of records in his testimonial season.
