If booing from the fans prevents Ward from playing another game that he would have otherwise have started then that is just as important to our survival as getting behind the team and lifting them to a draw/win.

It's not toxic, it's not tinpot, it's our duty as a fanbase in order to give us the best chance of staying up.

I think you've inadvertently made me realise how ridiculous it is that it's come down to the fans to have had to say "no more" .

Not one person inside the club has said "don't play this guy" and let it happen.

That's how badly run this club is.

I’m with you on this - boo at HT or FT, but during the game is just bonkers.

He’s a shit keeper - no doubt about it. He had a terrible game today but he wasn’t any worse than Justin or Vestergaard or VK.

He’s an easy target, Because of how historically bad he’s been. If he gets picked it’s on the manager??

Plenty of people on here say back the team through thick and thin, back the team if we play crap / the performance shouldn’t dictate the atmosphere bla bla.

We are losing and in a really sticky wicket and nothing, absolutely nothing positive will come from booing a player mid game.

Aim your frustration at the board or collectively at the end, the blokes mental health is probably shot to shit.

People just want him gone though, and will make that known. Can't remember a player that had such a negative impact on us as he does. He needs never to be in our match day squad again.

His positioning is the worst I've ever seen in a keeper. At any level.

His movement is even worse. His instinct is to move away from the ball.

He can't pass like modern keepers need to.

I'm not sure I've ever seen him claim cross.

His back 4 never trust him. His communication is terrible.

He doesn't seem to care at all. Not one area of his game has improved in 5 years here. As has been said here, Maresca would've told him to leave last year but he was clearly happy collecting coin.

He got us relegated once already, and by turbo boosting a faltering, rancid Wolves season today he's already played a huge part in it happening again.

If I were a League 2 manager and he begged for a chance to play for free next season I'd tell him I needed someone with more ability. How he's starting for us is beyond laughable and another minute for us, in any circumstance, will be a minute too much.

One billion per cent agree

Felt bad for him on a human level

I completely agree it’s not pleasant but at the same time we all on here want the best for our club, it’s mostly agreed that he’s not the one for us, having watched him make multiple costly mistakes over multiple games fans are rightly at their wits end with him

Says a lot about our strength in depth if he makes the starting XI. He should be nowhere near it. Unfortunately for him, he is a scapegoat for our last relegation, and today he justified that with awful positioning, communication and basic goalkeeping skills.

Booing won't help but no clearer message to the hierarchy that change, and funds are needed, or back through the relegation trapdoor we go.

Yeh we all want him gone - RvN needs questioning on why he’s picking him, if he does it against Liverpool he needs showing the door.

tbf he was one of the reasons, you could tell within the first 4/5 games thats season he was out of his depth, games against Spurs and Brighton massively highlighted this

It’s a fine balancing act - I thought the cheers on his saves were uncalled for but I totally get the stick in the immediate aftermath.

If the club continually close off the ability to give some criticism, people are going to do it. Like it or not. How else do you show your disgruntlement in that moment? It was 3-0 and game over after he made one of the worst attempts ever to save a shot straight at him

I agree. I really do. But when he’s on the pitch for us, for me that stuff just can’t happen. Show your displeasure before and after the game. But get behind the team during.

I absolutely agree with you…. Usually this would be my point too.

However with Ward it’s astonishing that he’s in the 1st team squad, let alone played… and that message has to be made to the people picking him.

But, however much abuse / booing / displeasure Ward is getting, Rudkin (and now Top) should be getting more.

Not having the booing towards our own player, and nobody could ever convince me otherwise.

Always the thick blokes and almost always blokes in their 40’s.

Would explain the return of Pukka Pies coinciding with Danny Ward’s return to the KP pitch

Hearing / seeing our new manager defend Ward is harder

Of course he is going to defend him publicly

He’s not a scapegoat for relegation he was the most culpable player

I'd agree, but you could say the same for the entire defence, and others that essentially downed tools and saw out their over-inflated contracts.
